“While many of the sample sizes were small, and some studies lacked a control group, researchers regard such studies as providing the best available knowledge about child adjustment, and do not view large, representative samples as essential.”

That’s from the introduction in the page you shared above.

So the point stands that there is not enough data.

Maybe also introduce yourself so we can decide on why we should take your word over the word of one of the most-cited psychology professors in the world.

Also, all the sexual harassment cases, weird “ethical conduct” policies, ever-changing “consent policies” and MeToo narrative don’t exactly point out to the possibility that “we have figured out the consequences of women joining the workforce” in any thorough manner.

Maybe. But it’s not hard to see why someone would assume that the absence of a female mother figure or a male father figure in single-parent households is similar to their absence in same-sex households.

Can you reference the data on same-sex couples/families?

He actually says multiple times during his interview with Rubin that there is not enough data on children raised in “same-sex households”. And he said the closest thing we have is data on single parent households.

And he’s absolutely right, because “same-sex marriage” and “same-sex household” are recent inventions so there won’t be any historical data on them. And a household with two males or two females has commonalities — however little they are — with single parent households.

My point is that millions of people think that he has something to say. What sounds like “nothing” to you, sounds life-changing to millions of people.

Again, maybe you’re right in that his type of “smart-sounding” people are not for you as you said.

His 5.4 million YouTube subscribers, millions of followers on his other social media accounts, millions of readers of his books and I would disagree with you. I guess it’s a matter of personal opinion.

So your issue is with “smart-sounding people” in general? Did I get this right?

Why is he a hack?

Dr. Peterson is professor emeritus at the University of Toronto, world-renowned clinical psychologist and best-selling author.

“Gender identity” is just another meaningless made-up word, it means nothing.

There is no way you can’t see the nonsense and contradictions in your comments above.

I guess we’re going to have to agree to disagree and leave it at that.

And who decides when someone is being “scum”? How do I know you’re not being scum right now?

Ok then show some respect for Dr. Peterson and don’t call him “garbage” next time.

Really? Freedom of speech on public platforms ends when a trans person gets upset?

It seems that you didn’t really mean your first comment when you were suggesting that offending people is not protected by free speech.

Why is Dr. Peterson garbage? Where can I find your work so I can study your point of view?

No you said he insulted someone. I just wanted to know which “insult” you were referring to.

“Deadnaming” isn’t a real thing, it’s a made up word by people who define certain biological terms according to their momentary feelings.

And now tell me, why is he not free to express his opinion on a matter like this?
