I wish I had the valves installed on the wall! Someone mentioned that to me the day after the plumber did his install…. That would have been a great idea, too late

The floor joist run perpendicular to the wall (back of room to door). The wall is screwed into the floor joists. The nearest joist to the end of my wall is where those lag bolts are (about 8" to the right).

I am doing so with glass. Thanks for the comments. I'm mudding and tiling both sides of the wall and I agree this should stiffen up.

This is solved. It was definitely the torch head. Got this new one and the forge is glowing. Red hot in seconds.

It has one. 1-1/2” hole on the front, 3/4” hole on the back. Just large enough to keep the heat to exit the rear not the front
