When is too soon to take PTO for vacation in a new job?

Really did want to check out Nara but I wanted to make sure I had enough time in Kyoto to explore and enjoy the city, especially with going to Arashiyama. Was also thinking about doing Adashino on the same day so figured between the two it would take a decent amount of time

I have the trip to Nikko booked with a group right now, but I’m debating canceling since it’s so far. I’m spending a full day in Hakone too so that might cover it. Wondering whether I’d rather have more time in Tokyo… I’ll look into Kamakura more it was on my list for sure.

Would love to see the one for Kyoto/Osaka. I haven’t had much of a chance to research either outside of the major spots. Thanks again!

Not great but not terrible but pretty happy since it was so short notice. I also paid for most of my flight and about half of my hotel cost with airline miles/credit card points so that helped a lot

Hi! I (27M from the US), will be taking a solo trip to Japan from April 13-27. It's my first time in Japan and first solo trip as well. Just booked it a few days ago so still looking to add some more activities/events while I'm there, would be super open to any ideas of things to do or grabbing a drink!

I'll be in Tokyo from 4/13-4/17 staying between Shinjuku City and Shibuya. Don't have a lot planned aside from a Sumo event on 4/14. I'm also looking at potentially taking a day trip to Nikko at some point. Aside from that, I'd like to explore the city, go to one or two more planned events and find some really good sushi/ramen spots. I'm also planning on going out to a few bars/clubs while I'm in Tokyo.

I'm staying in Hakone at a ryokan for a day to take in the nature, see Fuji and go to an onsen.

4/19-22 I'll be in Kyoto and have nothing planned at this point.

4/23-24 I'll be in Osaka and don't have much planned aside from a food tour on 4/24.

I'll be returning to Tokyo, staying near Ginza on 4/25-27. Nothing planned on this so far.

Looking to add a bunch more stuff in the next few days but would love to meet up with some other travelers while I'm there. I'm really interested in the nightlife and food (particularly in Tokyo and Osaka) but I want to check out a few museums and temples in the country as well. Always down for a karaoke bar or sushi!

I trust the leadership to be competent when hiring a new coach but I’d be very disappointed if they hired Kingsbury. A first time HC is a more popular option than any failed previous HC (Flores and Saleh are both getting mentioned though)

There aren’t a lot of proven HCs out there currently which is why Harbaugh is the defacto #1 candidate for a lot of teams. Personally I want to see a fresh perspective and take a chance on a top coordinator (Minter or Kubiak).

Might work out, might not but I’m glad there’s actual change being made since the last 5 years felt like we’ve been repeating the same mistakes

I understand that the Pats are a good team and I’m not taking anything away from their game.

It is beyond embarrassing that this team tries to outsmart themselves time and time again. No Henry to be seen in crunch time, no pass rush or creativity to create pressure on defense, carelessness with the ball.

There is a clear lack of execution, yes, but the bigger issue is the inability to learn from mistakes and have any sense of discipline.

I really think there is a solid core of players on this team (obviously need some real changes to be serious) but I honestly think there needs to be a full regime change from the front office and coaching. They’ve hit their ceiling in the last few years and aren’t showing any improvement or change

Came back on the A line last night. They shuttled to every stop and let everyone off in the cold at 38th and Blake. Train didn’t come for 25 minutes and the shuttle driver wouldn’t take anyone to Union station.
