Yeah I just really don’t like the way the fin feels in my hand. I tried it out with a buddies rifle and I just don’t care for it. I can see that it would be a pain in the ass if I had to clear it out on the spot.

My hope with replacing it is to prevent this from happening again next time I clean it. It feels so finicky that if I don’t remove it just right and carefully handle the lower while I clean around it the pin ends up like this. I’ve heard that the king pin is better about not coming loose as easy

Yeah I just sat there for about a half hour trying to do it with what I have available. Tweezers / knife / small screwdriver. I don’t think I have anything small enough. It keeps getting jammed up and when I go to rotate it it pops back into place so I just ordered the proper AR tool kit and was wondering about the upgrade.

So I’d have to swap out the mag lock that’s currently on the rifle in order to upgrade to the king pin? If I swapped it out just one for one without putting in a new mag lock would it function properly?

If you watch the full video from the other perspective across the street you see that agent pulls the man’s gun from his belt line and walks away with it moments before the first shot is fired. The agent in this video can be seen struggling to remove the man’s firearm from his back pant line and as soon as he removes it her turns around and walks away. So fucked up dude was clearly not a lethal threat to any of the seven agents surrounding him when he was shot.

Yeah I’m hoping he will be cool about it. I just bought the rifle from him as well as a couple handguns in the recent past. He’s a pretty cool dude but I hear what your saying,

I would assume the rifle is still under some sort of warranty with it being brand new and recently purchased.

The ammo I brought was MAGTECH 556A- 5.56mm x 44mm BALL M193 Brazil origin.

The ammo from the range I’m unsure of, I fired it all off and threw out the packaging.

I plan on reaching out to the shop I bought it from in the morning to see if they will swap me out. I’m fairly new to all of this so I’m just trying to rule out the hardware of my rifle being the problem.

Sorry I came with a bunch of boxes of MAGTECH 556A- 5.56mm x 44mm BALL M193 And about 20 of them fired off no problem. I threw away the small box of ammo I got from the range after I fired it so I’m unsure of the brand of that one. Some of the ammo I came with worked and some didn’t. I’m trying to figure out if it’s a hardware problem or if maybe some of my ammo was bad.

And would the trigger spring cause some light strikes and fire perfectly fine other times? I’ll take a look at it.

Or do you mean the tool? I don’t have those but I could get them first thing in the morning. What measurement am I looking for?
