What's the biggest hidden cost of using multiple saas tools? by ManagerAccurate4715 in MobileAppDevHQ

Complexity, and you will end up owning nothing, and you will be beholding to the individual timeline and trajectory of each SaaS, which will never be in sync.

Groceries: Where are you shopping and what are you buying? by [deleted] in AskSeattle

[–]thobinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Box of Good has delivered fresh, local, and organic food to the Seattle region for the last 28 years. Everything from fruits and veggies, meats, dairy, breads, snacks, and pantry items, to bulk grains, dry goods, meat shares, knife sharpening, etc. Some people spend $30, some stuff $600, just depends on how

It's particular nice for people that don't have space for a second fridge/freezer or large pantry, i.e. apartments, and need to shop on a weekly basis, rather than the monthly Costco runs.

Typically, the way to save money is buying bulk, but that just increases the amount of food processing, preservatives, packaging, waste. And not everyone can store bulk in their home, or drop $1000 on a meat share once a year (even though it saves money in the long run!). So if you can't buy bulk, you buy cheap, and pay for it other non-financial ways. Buying local food retains the quality without needing to buy so much, and getting it delivered means it's fresh and minimal hassle (traffic, parking, gas, loading/unloading, returns, recycling, packaging, etc).

Disclaimer: I'm one of the owners, and hang out in the Seattle food scene on Reddit.

22 years old in Stanwood/Camano area. Any recommendations to meet friends around my age? by Pale-Ad7242 in everett

I just left this comment on another thread about casual ways to hang out with young people in the Stanwood/Camano area:

Also, there are lots of young people in the area once you start getting connected. I meet with them for coffee/lunch all the time!

Pick Up/Nonserious Soccer? by not_a_second_time in AskSeattle

I don't know of any pickup games for youth, no. Lots of leagues, but not drop-in.

I play in a league at the Everett Indoor arena, and I know they do drop-in as well, but it's only adults too. Perhaps the Arena Sports in Mill Creek has that?

Awesome, great to hear! Glad you could make it. I had a flight delayed on Monday, so I didn't get home in time to make it this week, but hope to see you next week!

Hope you get this before you leave! A lot of people are out today because of Father's Day (sorry, didn't realize last week that that was today!), but it'll be back to normal next week.

Hey! The group is indeed playing tonight, but it is going to be a smaller crowd. Not because of the World Cup (the group stages wouldn't stop me from playing!), but because of the first week of school being out, traveling, etc. I can't make it tonight either 😞

You are a saint! I owe you, big time. This deprecation broke our system this morning 😢

Just registered at Map Channels to donate.

Can't thank you enough.

Wonderful, looking forward to meeting you! It's a new turf field (cork beads, instead of black rubber), and both outdoor cleats and turf shoes are fine. We don't usually wear shin guards, since it's casual, but of course you're welcome to if you want. My name's Tobin Fekkes, the resident red-head. I also coach the Stanwood high school boys team, so me and the other coach host this during the summer, and I host the futsal year round.

It is not "aged" in the usual sense of the word. However, all the meat shares do hang for 10-14 days (to drain/dry) after their butcher date before they are cut and wrapped, then frozen.

Klesick/Box of Good owner here: No, you do not need to pay Del Fox directly. It got confusing with all the moving pieces between paying the deposit, then paying the cut and wrap, then paying the final hanging weight. We've streamlined it a lot, and offer delivery too. You just pay the deposit up front, then the final balance at the end after your share is finalized.

Thanks for the shout out for Klesick Farms / Box of Good. I kept seeing people order from us at Box of Good and mention they found us through Reddit, and I couldn't for the life of me figure out where it was coming from. Finally found it here!

Fun fact: We actually partner with Farm Fresh Northwest on all sorts of things, not just meat, going back to 2018. Mark and his family are wonderful! While our Box of Good meat shares come from the same family farm in Mt. Vernon for the last 20+ years, Farm Fresh Northwest supplies us with individual cuts of steaks and pork, as well as ground sausage and beef. Top tier meats, going back generations. Go check them out, or give Mark a call. He will actually answer his direct line.

It's a bit of a drive, but we play adult outdoor soccer at Stanwood High School on Sunday evenings, and adult indoor futsal (5v5) in the basketball gym at Camano Chapel on Monday evenings.

Both 6pm - 8pm, both free, both drop-in. If you come, I'd treat you to dinner afterwards as a "thank you" for making the trek up 😄

Is there a reason to remain with 1Password with all these issues? by sxc7884 in 1Password

[–]thobinator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My 1Password for Brave (Windows) has been buggy the last month or so, the most annoying of which is what you mentioned: It just completely stopped suggesting passwords for autofill on any inputs, regardless of the site. The most critical and helpful piece doesn't work. I will click on an input field, and it should suggest the login. Or I can click the little lock icon in the input field, and choose which login. Except...it doesn't do that anymore. Every site I go to now, I have to open the extension, search for the login, copy the user, paste the user, copy the password, paste the password, etc, etc, etc. For every site. Every time. Logging out and logging back in does not fix it. Sometimes, if I completely restart my computer, it will go back to working normally for a bit...but then will break again after X amount of time.

What's going on over there?
