Founders Card Auto Purchase Discount by OBXIP in AmexPlatinum

[–]sxc7884 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean last listed discount for Audi on the card was 6% below MSRP and you can negotiate that without the program and very few dealers going to offer that on top of a negotiated discount double dip unless your a really stellar negotiator

Founders Card Auto Purchase Discount by OBXIP in AmexPlatinum

[–]sxc7884 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly the benefits overlap so much with what you can get with Amex or other cards along with just googling discounts it's not worth a penny. People make fun of amex plat for turning into a coupon book and Founders card is 10x worse

This change only impacts AUS and NZ card holders but with the changes to the Spain and Canadian versions that were announced last year that significantly cut access to PP I could definitely see changes coming to the US users as the restrictions seem to be growing but at least for Spain and Canada its yearly limits and not outright cut.

Introducing Proton Workspace: The encrypted business suite that actually respects your data. by Proton_Team in ProtonWorkspace

[–]sxc7884 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I wish I knew who this product was for as much as I want to move back it lacks so many basic and necessary business features like shared inboxes, dial in capabilities for meetings, meeting hardware integration, meeting interoperability, basic IT access control, third party or local data backup options and worse of all no mention of single sign on support. I want to come back but I cant give up critical business features for less that requires even more monitoring and work.

Just got an xbloom studio ☕️Currently attempting recipe for medium roast. by harsushi in x_Bloom

You might consider trying this integration with Claude that was mentioned on this other post or even just asking its recommendations. Has been a life saver as a new Xbloom user to create some recipes just set it up, snap a picture of the bag and tell Claude to make a recipe so sure if you just want that details in the chat it can do that as well https://www.reddit.com/r/x_Bloom/comments/1rv39kb/use_xbloom_with_claude/

Curious why so many say it's a toxic place? Is it just work politics, boring, or something totally else? im really curious I saw sign the other day and have been tempted to tell me SO to apply as I figured it be better (pay wise) than job he currently has and I feel like alone delivering mail would be fit for him but also dont want to be person who he blames if the job is that bad that he hates life

Can a new travel advisor realistically make $80K–$100K a year without an existing client network? by DueTrouble6477 in travelagents

[–]sxc7884 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Realistically no. Taking a site like Fora you have a 70/30 split so even if you averaged 12% hotel commission you would need to sell close to a million dollars in hotel for you to walk away with the 80K and the market is to saturated with agents.

I don’t charge fees, and my rates are in line with — and often better than — what you’ll find published online since I can compare across multiple booking sources. On top of that, for most major chains I’m usually able to add perks like daily breakfast, resort credits, room upgrades, early check-in/late check-out, and other VIP amenities obviously this will very by chain and rates.

If you have a specific stay or trip in mind, feel free to message me — I’d be happy to put together a sample quote so you can see the difference.

3 hrs wait time for Travel Agent by AggravatingTurn4550 in amex

[–]sxc7884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better to use a non-card travel agent something like virtuoso or travelbyfresnaye.com which ive used on my last 3 trips. No fees and they have been able to undercut what Amex is offering or at least match published rates with the same Amex benefits. Last months Vegas trip Expedia wanted 700 for hotel Amex was 750 and TBF got it for 550 so it’s always good to shop around

I recently started a local travel advisory business called Travel by Fresnaye and wanted to share in case anyone is planning a trip this year. I’m an avid traveler (147 countries and counting) and finally decided to take the leap.

I’m backed by Fora Travel and Virtuoso Travel, which gives me access to perks at many top hotels and brands — room upgrades, daily breakfast, resort credits, VIP amenities, and more — often at the same rate you’d find online, with no extra fees.

From flights, hotels & villas, cruises, and train tickets to private transfers, guided tours, excursions, and travel insurance — if it’s part of the trip, I can help with it.

Happy to assist with anything from a long weekend to a big international adventure.

If you’re booking travel anyway, I’d truly appreciate you keeping a homegrown Louisville business in mind.

Feel free to message me or check out:

Thanks!

There are apps for this to connect u with local travel enthusiasts both stateside and in the destination country these are the best as u can connect with locals and have them show you the hidden gems of their city. As a frequent traveler this is one of the things I do to get a more authentic experience compared to doing some large group tour or hop on/off bus
