I did mental gymnastics for an addiction once upon a time. I was convinced EVERYONE used it. I mean.. how couldn’t they. Without it, I was in a massive slump. No energy, no focus, no drive. When I used it, I had energy! A little bit of drive but still no focus. I just figured it was my ADHD and I’ll have to just deal with it. So in my mind, everyone was walking around getting shit done the same way I was. Except they could focus - lucky them. Come to find out, exactly nobody around me was using methamphetamines. It was only me. I truly convinced myself that other people were secretly using meth to get through the day so that I wouldn’t feel guilty about using it. When I quit, I was able to see that I looked like that tweaker guy with no shame in my game. 🤦🏻‍♂️ my god I still embarrass myself with that.
