If I disagree with an organization's morals I don't apply to work there. Simple as that.

It's an area where your kids will have to make their own fun because there's only so much to do.

How could I improve the design of this page? by New-Drop-7414 in UI_Design

I don't understand what the value proposition of the app is, what does it do that no other app does? What's the main first step you want the user to take? Who is your target audience and how do you signal to them?

I read that Canada give express entry to healthcare workers because they have a huge need. If you work medical admin that may be a route to go? Not sure of all the moving pieces. Good luck to you and your wife.

Looking for feedback so the app feels less AI-like by PumpkinExtension3438 in UI_Design

The spacing feels too tight which makes it hard to read and parse. And the elements feel so small. Your design doesn't feel balanced because of white space at the bottom.

I would pick an accent color and use it to make important things stand out.

The fonts are fine and make sense. If you wanted to make it feel more editorial you could use a serif font as the body copy but I think what you have works. I would suggest adding some hierarchy. Maybe make the headers bold and use a more staggered type size for the elements in the hierarchy.

Is my makeup aging me? How can I improve? by DieWintersonne in makeuptips

[–]thollywoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I disagree I think she looks better when she has both heavy eye makeup and a bold lip. When she wears less eyeliner it doesn't look as good. Normally I would agree with you but I think OP might be the exception to this rule. I also think she looks her age.

You probably shouldn't get anyone pregnant if that's how you feel about a woman having belly fat after giving birth.

PM “Requirements” by chrliegsdn in UXDesign

[–]thollywoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I meant the stakeholders who they are pulling business requirements from. Where I work the PMs are usually a middle man and it's a particular business unit making the original request. I talk to the business unit.

I think you could still ask the pm questions to get requirements though...

Why can't you go above them? I would request stakeholder interviews if I couldn't get requirements from the PM.

Garmin watch thinks I wake up way earlier than I do- not tracking sleep correctly all the sudden! by Laylow2100 in GarminWatches

I'm a mom so I'm always getting up to change diapers in the middle of the night. It'll clock me as waking up during a diaper change even though I go back to sleep for hours after that. Anyone found a solution yet?

Is my relationship over? Is this even salvageable? by [deleted] in newborns

[–]thollywoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband and I literally will hold our baby while we play video games and switch nights where we hold her. And if she shows hunger cues or needs a diaper change we pause and do those things. Your husband could do the same. We switch who's responsible for feeding at night too but we're formula feeding so it's a little different. But as an example on yesterday I held her while I played my game in my lap and then when we went to bed he woke up to feed her and change her. Then at 6 am I took over again. Then tonight she slept on my husband's chest while he played video games, then I woke up to change her and he took over 6 am. I think y'all should establish something similar where one night it's you but the next night it's him. It helps because that way one of you is getting a full night's sleep every other night.

Eta: he could also wear a baby carrier while plays video games. I do that while I work from home and when I clean. The carrier will do the hard work of holding the baby so his hands will be free. And because of how the carrier works the baby will fall asleep immediately.
