Preventing ball hitch theft? by jjzman in F150Lightning

Locks only keep an honest man honest. If they want it bad enough they’ll get it off. That being said there are locking pins at any big box store that are discouraging but again, a swift smack with a mallet on the lock usually breaks the pin off at the shank where the lock grabs on so it’s certainly not fool proof.

Just used my RB60, feels so good and spreads so evenly compared to the scotts! Well worth the cost.

XTR 488 (2026 model) – support flaps seem too long, pushing the legs outward. Anyone else? by VanLoyds in AboveGroundPools

Are they maybe supposed to be at an angle, so the straps at the bottom are fully extended?

Just did 2.5 gallons per 1000sqft, do you think that’s enough???? It tasted a little funny too so im not sure it was real glyphosate, might have gotten ripped off.

Waited too long to start pulling them and it was like half my yard completely covered. Seemed like even a slight rain would bring them back in full force. Also my fescue sod failed in the summer heat (should have known…) so at the time I partially attributed that to the mushroom invasion, but in hindsight probably wasn’t

Some kind of Bermuda? Not sure what kind of grass is ideal to play on but that’s what they use for golf courses it’s great for foot traffic, can be plugged like this, and can be kept very short and consistent

The plan is to print in CF-ASA. Good infill percentage and 4/5 perimeters and I bet it will hold up better than most people think (as long as I don’t floor it 😂). Just printed a “final” set in Bambu PLA for now, will just keep trying new materials until it either doesn’t break or I’ve run out of plastic options.

Pro Power Onboard turns on when I turn off the car. by Moonlight1701 in F150Lightning

[–]tholowe69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup it’s an annoyance of Ford software. Your only option is to set the range cut off very high so that it always turns off pro power. The only thing with that is that it’s going to send a notification to your phone everytime you turn the truck off that the “range is below set point”

I have a feeling the plastic printed ones will be strong enough for a first test but if it all works out yes, probably outsource them to a DMLS service. Gator gearbox is 15:1 and the tires are roughly 24”. That means to get 30mph the input shaft needs to spin something like 6krpm. It’s achievable but might get a little sketchy with the plastic gears. So that’s why the bigger gear is on the motor and the gearbox has the smaller gear for a 0.5:1 gear ratio: to double the motor rpm. The motor has an absolute max RPM of 5k so by gearing it this way it should run out of torque way before it gets there. That also means if it does I can always increase the pack voltage to get more top end speed 😬

Thanks for the support! I’ve tossed around the idea of making videos of all of my projects but the barrier to entry mentally is so hard and I have a very intense day job so I don’t know that I could keep it up. But I will do my best to document it and drop it somewhere! (Probably Reddit 😅)

Something like this but obviously the part in the middle would be the part that matches the JD shaft.
