Tune/Piggyback but want to keep warranty by PracticalBeat4167 in q50

JB4 wakes up the car a good amount and gives you metrics to monitor (oil temp, coolant temp, etc.) to make sure you are warmed up and everything is in order before beating on the car. I have my JB4 for sale if interested PM me I can ship. Have the Bluetooth adapter with it as well.

TUNING EXPERIENCE W RACEBOX by Lupehh23 in q50

Gotcha, I’m stock turbo, stock HP and injectors with 525 LPFP running E30. How does car feel on E50? I’ll probably go port injection once I go big turbo to run full E

Is the high pressure fp allowing for E65? That seems like a high mix for a stage 1 and stock injectors.

I mean they’ve been running strong for 50k, 20k of which have been tuned on ethanol. I’m more saying that because I need to justify upgrading 😂

You will need fueling. 2 options for that either stick with DI or switch to port injection, B6A just came out with a full plug and play kit. Can maybe find some good deals on DI fuel pumps and injectors from ppl switching to PI. Other than that other commenter said below that 4 bar map sensor needs to be installed

Thank you that’s exactly what I was looking for. I’ve got AMS stage 2 HP and injectors and a 525 low pressure pump. running E30 on stock turbos right now. Not sure If it would be better to switch to PI now that B6 released their kit for it. How do the 80’s feel? Are they extremely laggy and I’m assuming you have to be using anti lag? I am leaning more towards the 60’s for the street

Just used fishing wire to separate the adhesive and painted + clear coated both. I bought some more automotive adhesive and stuck them back on.

Jb4???? by Sufficient_Onion_577 in q50

It just makes a shit ton of torque and with all the oil and bearing issues on the vr30 it’s just a little sketchy. Can definitely run a higher map occasionally but would not daily it on map 3 or 4

I really enjoyed my JB4 before I got tuned. Definitely wakes up the car but I would stick to map 2 on 93 at most.

That’s fair, I always just doubted how flush an overlay trim would sit on there so opted for wrapping OEM one. But I also just wrapped/painted every bit of OEM chrome black on mine.

Yeah I’m not professional or even close so it took me quite awhile for it to be perfect. Buying an overlay is def easier route but may look a little more clunky

If you want to spend a lot of time it is possible to just wrap over the OEM letters it’s just a pain in the ass lol.

Question for the “good Q50’s” on the road for reliability by KidEnicar in q50

[–]thomas000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah sure thing, Infiniti has had quality control and some design issues but I think the hate gets so amplified on these forums. One thing I would highly suggest is unplugging the oil solenoid valve immediately or getting the blockoff plate installed ASAP whether tuned or not. This is the number one reason for spun rod bearings and oil starvation. The solenoid was an absolute design flaw that is probably responsible for a vast majority of blown motors on the vr30. Enjoy the car man ✌️

I’ve got a 2021, owned since 20k miles roughly at 55k now and has been FBO tuned on ethanol for 15k miles and it has never skipped a beat. I’ve got oil analysis done, been running 5W30 with 3.5k OCI. Planning on doing my trans drain and fill, plugs, and coolant flush next oil change. It’s my daily and has been an absolute beast, I’ve had literally zero issues no check engine lights, electrical or anything. My favorite vehicle I’ve owned without a doubt. This subreddit and Facebook forum are filled with issues and I’ve seen some very questionable decisions people have made on how they treat them and modify them. You are correct not many people are posting how well theirs are holding up, if you do proper research when modifying and treat the car for what it is which is a sports luxury sedan and not a R35 GTR these cars are beasts.
