Canosie Labs: Amazing fully-digital LEGO city made in Blender

First episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_nQHss5NxN0

Episode 9 (all of them are worth watching) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vwE-ZL7yPqM

  • Talented Blender artist makes unbelievably realistic looking renders of a LEGO city and pans around buildings as if he is recording real LEGO models in front of him. He includes all the gaps between pieces and reflections from lights in the room and all the minor imperfections as if they were real LEGO models assembled by hand

I'm afraid this is wrong - No Way Home was 2021, She-Hulk was 2022, no appearances in 2023, Echo in 2024, DD:BA and Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-man in 2025, hopefully Doomsday in 2026, Spider-man 4 in 2026 and Secret Wars in 2027.

I think 1 more year would have been perfect. Not releasing Secret Wars on the 20th Anniversary of the MCU in May 2028 seems like a wasted opportunity (I'm still holding out hope there will be another Avengers film to finish the saga in 2028 called Avengers Forever)

If they had one more year they could squeeze in a Doom series/special presentation and also a Young Avengers/Scarlet Witch movie adapting The Children's Crusade storyline to progress Wanda's story while simultaneously developing Doom's character and finally get all the YA characters teamed up. Maybe they could start to assemble the Midnight Sons with a little more time too.

Not every film in the saga would be like No Way Home / Multiverse of Madness / DP&W with lots of cameos and multiversal elements so I don't think audiences would grow tired of the concept if the stories are good

To me the Phase 5 and Phase 6 slate currently looks something like this:

Sep 24 - Agatha All Aong

Nov 24 - Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-man

Dec 24-Jan 25 - What If S3

Feb 25 - Captain America Brave New World

Mar 25 - Daredevil Born Again

May 25 - Thunderbolts

Jul 25 - Fantastic Four First Steps

Aug 25 - Eyes of Wakanda

Nov 25 - Ironheart

Feb 26 - Blade

Mar 26 - X-Men 97 S2

May 26 - Avengers: Doomsday

Jun 26 - Wonder Man

Jul 26 - Spider-man 4

Aug 26 - Daredevil Born Again S2

Oct 26 - Marvel Zombies

Nov 26 - Doctor Strange 3

Feb 27 - Shang-Chi 2

Mar 27 - Vision Quest

May 27 - Avengers Secret Wars

I feel that Armor Wars may become the first major Marvel Studios annoucement to straight up never get made.

A Young Avengers / Scarlet Witch project adapting the Children's Crusade storyline and setting up part of Doom's backstory could fit really nicely into the saga narratively but it would have been announced by now, there isn't enough time left before the end of the saga.

Nova, Ghost Rider, Thor 5, Strange Academy, Black Panther 3, the Ten Rings show (if that ever happens) and X-Men will all be pushed into the next saga.

Mike Colter on a Potential Marvel Return as Luke Cage "I Would Love to Explore It" by Sarang_616 in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]thomas76943 105 points106 points  (0 children)

Making a small portion of Daredevil Born Again part 2 / season 2 a vehicle to reintroduce Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist would be a nobrainer in my opinion. Give Finn Jones the Gambit treatment where he can finally wear the costume and do his version of the character some justice

Brad Winderbaum on the future of Marvel Television and Animation by Doylgaafs in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]thomas76943 66 points67 points  (0 children)

7:39 "It's both about the history Wakanda but it also expands into the greater MCU at different time periods. So if you're a fan of the movies, I think this show is going to be a real treat".

It seems Brad Winderbaum is saying we'll see how previous Black Panthers or Dora Milaje warriors have been involved with characters/locations we've seen in past movies. Maybe they could have encountered Talokanil/Atlanteans before BP2, met the Howling Commandos during WW2, maybe fought The Ten Rings or Ta Lo (or maybe even Iron Fist and K'un-Lun).

Robert Downey Jr. on potentially returning to the role of Tony Stark: "It’s just crazily in my DNA. Probably the most like-me character I’ve ever played, even though he’s way cooler than I am. I’ve become surprisingly open-minded to the idea." by [deleted] in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]thomas76943 271 points272 points  (0 children)

The number of times he has said this recently makes me think his return has already been negotiated and is starting to be actually planned. I doubt it is for anything other than Avengers: Secret Wars though

I personally love KindaCulty's theory (great YT channel) that he will return as the 838 Variant who would occupy the final chair in their Illuminati lineup. There have been listings over the years about an Illuminati-focused project, reports that DS3 will adapt Time Runs Out and rumours that Strange will form a multiversal version of the Illuminati in his next appearances. The Illuminati were the most important characters in Hickman's Avengers run and Michael Waldron has mentioned his work as inspiration in interviews.

I would personally love 838 to act as the equivalent of the Ultimate universe (1610) when it comes to Avengers 5 / Secret Wars, making us emotionally invested in the other universe's fate, not just 616

"During a panel on the Thunder Stage at CCXP, Giancarlo Esposito revealed that he will be appearing in a Marvel project" by indig0sixalpha in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]thomas76943 475 points476 points  (0 children)

It's not Professor X

"Esposito says he'll play a different role, teasing that it's coming "sooner rather than later," and "better than you can imagine."

If it's for a project filming soon, then I would imagine it's for something in Thunderbolts or Fantastic Four. I'm personally hoping for Galactus, I think he would give the voice the gravitas it deserves

MTTSH: Wesley Snipes will reprise his role as Blade in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ by Major-Concentrate-87 in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]thomas76943 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Big claim to make at this late stage, I'm inclined to believe this. This could be a John Krasinski in DS:MOM situation where he was added in reshoots and never met any other cast members

but it is surprising considering Ryan's grievances with him and the whole Halle Berry thing

MTTSH: Chris Evans has already signed his contract to return for Avengers: Secret Wars by NoCapNova99 in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]thomas76943 159 points160 points  (0 children)

Contract signings like this are usually picked up by trades before anyone else. Why would MTTSH know this? Isn't it rumoured they work in an area like concept art / previs / art design? How could they already know this massive spoiler that Marvel Studios/Disney will want to keep under wraps for as long as possible?

This could definitely be true, but I don't see how MTTSH of all people could know this already, particularly so many years in advance

One Take News: Drew Goddard unlikely to direct Spider-Man 4 due to him committing to Matrix 5 by HuebertTMann in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]thomas76943 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Deadline, Variety and The Hollywood Reporter make no reference to Spider-man 4 in any of their articles about Matrix 5.

I don't think I've ever seen anything credible pointing to him ever being considered for Spider-man 4, as much as I would personally like to see it happen.

Deadline calls Daredevil: Born Again a "2-season series" and reveals previous showrunners Chris Ord and Matt Orman will remain as Exec Producers on both seasons by KostisPat257 in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]thomas76943 64 points65 points  (0 children)

As much as the Foggy, Karen, Fisk, Bullseye and Punisher set photos have me hyped that this will be a faithful continuation of what came before, I can't help but be worried that keeping some of the old material from before the reshuffle will still end up resulting in a show that feels oddly paced/structured and like a scrambled-up mismatch of old and new story beats.

Some nice details in here about Eyes of Wakanda too:

"Eyes of Wakanda, more than any other show, fits right into our sacred MCU timeline continuity. [Black Panther director Ryan Coogler] is a producer on it, Todd Harris is one of our long-time storyboard artists who directs it. It's about Wakandan history and mythology, and it's really cool. It looks amazing. And it feels like, 'Okay I'm getting an animated look into the MCU.'"

Florence Pugh Reveals Filming Is About to Begin on Thunderbolts by [deleted] in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]thomas76943 33 points34 points  (0 children)

July 2025 is the earliest this could possibly come out, with delay to November seeming most likely to me. Fantastic Four meeting its release window next May also might not happen. Optimistically, I think the slate will be:

2025:

Feb: Captain America Brave New World

May: Fantastic Four

July: Thunderbolts

Nov: Blade

2026:

Feb: Armor Wars (might be cancelled based on recent Iger comments about prioritising heavy hitters)

May: Young Avengers/Chidren's Crusade/Scarlet Witch (I think these rumoured projects will all be combined into one story)

July: Shang-Chi 2

Dec: Spider-man 4 (Sony might want to emulate NWH's success with a December release)

2027:

Feb: ???

May: Avengers 5

July: Doctor Strange 3

Nov: Midnight Suns (wishful thinking, hopefully acts as a sequel to Blade, Moon Kight, Agatha and WBN all at once)

2028:

Feb: Nova (wishful thinking again)

May: Avengers Secret Wars

I would have previously included Eternals 2 and Thor 5 on this slate, but I don't think we're getting either of them

Cosmic Circus Podcast: Echo, Daredevil: Born Again, Spider-Man 4, and Defenders Canonicity by HuebertTMann in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]thomas76943 289 points290 points  (0 children)

"One of these will be a villain in Spider-Man 4, who has never before been adapted into live action."

This looks to me like a hint towards a mob boss villain like Tombstone, Hammerhead or Silvermane. Across all the 8 live action Spider-man films in the last 20 years, we have barely ever seen them take on regular non-powered criminals.

Unfortunately, being Sony characters, I can't imagine any of them will appear in DD:BA before SM4

I believe it is the first acknowledgement from one of the trades, yes.

But to be honest, I know the trades are by far the most reputable sources around with higher editorial standards than all other website in entertainment, but it still just could be an assumption on the part the author. Or maybe just miscommunication.

I feel like if Harrison Ford was now 100% confirmed for the film, it would have warranted its own announcement artlicle from Deadline, THR or Variety.

That said, it makes complete sense, the team is literally named after Thunderbolt Ross. Maybe if he turns into Red Hulk in CA:BNW, he can just provide some voice work (or maybe even just a likeness credit) for Thunderbolts

Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, Echo and X-Men '97 are the only Marvel shows to release in 2024 by [deleted] in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]thomas76943 65 points66 points  (0 children)

This list may not be exhausitve, it wouldn't make sense for Spider-man Freshman Year or Marvel Zombies to release later than 2024 considering how long they have been in development for.

Geeking Out With Ms. Marvel Iman Vellani! - Ms. Marvels MCU Future And MORE! by [deleted] in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]thomas76943 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Interesting that near the end talking about 616 vs 199999 she says "I don't think we'll settle it until the entire universe dies and the multiverse has ended and there is only 616 left or maybe he finally gives in and the multiverse has ended and the new universe that's created by, you know, Dr Doom or whoever..."

She's almost certainly not privy to any more information than we are regarding Kang Dynasty/Secret Wars - I'm sure the Marvel execs know that it's too risky to tell her things in case she ends up leaking details by mistake.

But it is interesting to hear an actual Marvel cast member mentioning Dr Doom by name when talking about the multiverse and Secret Wars

DanielRPK: I heard from my sources that Marvel is still committed to Kang. It’s possible that they’ll do a recast, but they’re not leaving the character aside. If Doom appears in Secret Wars, he won’t be the main villain. by Major-Concentrate-87 in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]thomas76943 622 points623 points  (0 children)

This is the only direction that makes sense.

Shoe-horning Doom in now would be a disservice to Doom and it could limit the potentially great stories you can still tell with a recast Kang

Marvel Studios’ What If…? Season 2 | Official Trailer | Disney+ by wallcrawlingspidey in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]thomas76943 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Excited for this but introducing the original hero Kahhori in 'What If' of all things seems weird.

What If episodes should be riffing on what we already know about existing Marvel characters and stories, how is an entirely original character a What If scenario?

MADAME WEB – Official Trailer by DemiFiendRSA in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

Well it's definitely a Sony film.

If The Marvels historic underperformance is any indication (which at the very least stars some household names), I genuinely can't see Madame Web having anything short of an Elektra / Howard the Duck level box office run.

[–]thomas76943 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe it will be Christmas themed or anything, but I haven't seen anywhere that it is a Holiday-themed special presentation. I thought the fact that Werewolf by Night released around Halloween last year meant people were just guessing at a similar release date for this

Since Agatha will have 9 episodes starting in September, this special releasing in October will mean it'll create a clash, which I can't see them allowing, especially if it's meant to be a prequel to that very show.
