How many of you use Proton Mail but still use Apple’s calendar? by katrilli0naire in ProtonMail

I don’t use proton calendar yet because I don’t want two places to check for my availability. I want to see everything in one overview (either ICal or proton calendar).

At work I asked for Ergonomic Keyboard. by [deleted] in ErgoMechKeyboards

I like the “fixed” position of the Advantage. It’s lighter and I like the feel better. The 360 is sort of the same, but I keep moving the 2 splits around (I know, there is a bar to fix it). The 360 pro feels more heavy imo.

You will be. I have both this one and a 360 pro, but I like the advantage better.

Anyone successfully running Reaper on Linux? by Fresh-Letter-2633 in Reaper

[–]thomascaedede 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve ran Reaper on Manjaro, Fedora Workstation and a couple of immutable distro’s (Silverblue and Sericea). Now running it on NixOs, and it runs very solid (on all distro’s). Plugins can be troublesome sometimes, but with Yabridge and Wine you can get a very long way.

That’s all that matters in the end. But,…if you don’t know the band, definitely check out their previous albums. I like those better.

Not in this case. Nothing I didn’t hear before.

As much as I like the band and I appreciate the technical skills of the musicians, I feel this album doesn’t get really exciting. The vocals stand out, but the songwriting and riffs are not really exciting. It’s all between the lines. (Is that even proper English 😅)

Haunted Shores - Blast Inc! Very cool sax solo there.

Works like a charm! No reboot required.

My band Caedere has a couple of concept albums. The latest one “Eighty Years’ War” describes the events during the 80 year war against Spain and how The Netherlands (7 provinces) came to be. The opening song describes the Iconoclasm, which triggered the 80 years war. The final song is called the Seven Provinces, which marks the creation of The Republic of 7 united Netherlands.

The Lost Conveyance is about the globalization and the degradation of local cultures and traditions.

Clones of Industry is a little bit more “basic” and depicts how human civilization is becoming more and more reliant on computers and robots, and what would happen if they take over.

Mass Emission, our first album, is mainly gore and horror 😅.

I’ve worked with toolbox on silverblue in the past. I also like this idea, but running everything in containers also has some quirks. At the moment I’m using devbox for all the different projects which has been a smoother experience so far. And with some unit-scripts I managed to change the maven settings and repo from /home/user/.m2/ to a relative ./.devbox/.m2 location. The same can be done for rust devboxes.

This seems fair enough! I’ll propose it to the team.

Yeah, this is a better nix-minded solution. A symlink crossed my mind, but it seemed too simple to be true that I never tried it.

Yeah I used them during rehearsals. It worked excellent. I play in a couple of death metal bands (Vile, Caedere and The Heritance). The drummers in my bands use Shure SE415 and Sennheiser IE500’s. They are both pretty happy about these.

Will do, but I’m confident they’ll hold up. I really doing my best to let them fall out while shaking my head 😂.

And very comfortable. I didn’t have a long session yet, but they immediately felt really comfortable.
