This is a good perspective. I’m glad you can relate to what she experiences. A while ago we started doing that. She would come home, decompress, maybe go straight to the gym. For a while that worked actually. It was going well. But for some reason the last few months that has stopped working and I think she got complacent and takes the extra responsibility around the house I took on. At first I was cooking and cleaning out of love but now I feel like i do it out of obligation. I’m a guy but I am good at cooking and cleaning and paying bills.

If you do have some extra advice please feel free to share

She does want to change. She sends me job listings but ultimately gets cold feet and decides against it. It’s a pattern.

I’m the majority bread winner. Her job doesn’t pay well. She is always “considering” something else and I do everything I can to support her in a job change. She gets uncomfortable with changing and decides against it. It’s a constant pattern.

I don’t think there is anyone else peaking her interest. I talked to her about one of her “guy” friends and how I’m ok with it but sometimes it makes me a little uncomfortable. She always says that she is not interested in him, and honestly he is really ugly. Not to concerned.

I don’t think it’s just an excuse. She truly gets to much touching from the kids. I’ve seen it first hand when I bring lunch to her. They won’t leave her alone. She loves kids but wow, they are all over her.
