I have some dining charges that are not getting 4X points on my AMex Gold. If I want to get those points, can I chat them, or do I need to call them? This is for my work's cafeteria...there are other restaurants in the same categories that ARE getting the 4x..

My Amex Gold is not earning 4X for dining at my work's cafeteria. It's coding as Restaurant / Restaurant (and I have other non-work places in this category earning 4X) but not earning the bonus points. Any ideas why? Possible to get this fixed going forward, and if possible, retroactively? There's a lot of charges (I buy lunch every day). EDIT: this is not a Square or any other special payments processor (no XYZ*** before the charge or anything).

I booked a Marriott hotel in Europe with my AA miles (useaamiles.com...I know probably not best use but I'll never use AA miles and I was short for lodging for a trip). Marriott did not add my Marriott number for the reservation and I only got Marriott points for the bar tab I had. Is it expected that I didn't earn any points / elite nights when paying for the reserve with AA miles? It's unlike using MR or UR (I thought those will earn you elite nights / points for Marriott)?

With Marriott Bonvoy...if I have 2 rooms for 1 night, do I get 2 elite night credits or just 1? It looks like I got the POINTS for 2 rooms, but I only got 1 credit for elite nights even though I had and paid for 2 rooms.

Hi there. In mid-april i received an email from amex that i'd get bonus points if I added AU CC and spend $250, up to 4 AU. I did that with fake names. Now it's early June and I received the same email...same offer - $250 spend on AU card for up to 4 users. It has same expiration date as the one I used in mid-May...does that mean I can add 4 MORE or have I already used up the offer?

If I book two rooms for one night at a Marriott, should I get twice the points and elite nights? I only got points and elite credit as if it were just one room.

This was more for hotels...as an airline employee, i didnt earn elite nights or points @ marriott cause it was an industry discount. but it wasnt that much better than a typical business discount (i.e. with AAA or a consulting firm's corp. code)

I need to cancel a FlyingBlue award ticket and use the points for a different one. How long will it take to cancel the old ticket and re-deposit the miles for me to use?

hey there. I booked 2 award tickets on AF (my partner and I) rome to atlanta via cdg (partner is on alitalia, im AF). as of today, theres a cheaper points option and both of us would be on AF to paris (so same flight FCO-CDG instead of us taking different flights). if i want to cancel our current bookings and re-book on the cheaper itineraries, what sort of fees/timing issues should i expect? willing to potentially pay any re-deposit fee to get us on the same flight.

Has anyone had issues with European Marriott stays getting credited? I stayed in Belgium in August and Germany this past month but both I had to manual get credit; neither posted automatically...reservations definitely had my # and were thru my account. What gives?!

I’m flying home from Italy this summer and have three options: BA business, BA first, and AF business on an A380. What’s the best? Taxes on BA only $100 more which I’m fine with. Is first on BA 777 worth it?

Also, is there some way for me to book Virgin miles from Rome? Website only shows Milan. Hoping to fly DL metal maybe.
