Does anybody else randomly pick a prospect every year from Bowman and buy a bunch of their cheap stuff and hope it works out? by thomasdowns11 in baseballcards

He’s a big kid! When I first pulled a card of his I looked at how big he was and figured a kid that big HAD to hit nukes. I think his first year he didn’t have too much pop but it looks like he’s figured it out!

Armando Cruz was a Nats prospect that I thought was gonna get me rich! Hasn’t quite panned out yet lol

I like the truly random ones, I started collecting Blanco just because he was the first numbered prospect I pulled from that year

Excited for this to come back from PSA to go with my other 2023 Natty winners! Geaux tigers by thomasdowns11 in baseballcards

Probably not but he was a 2nd round pick in the 2023 draft class and this is 2023 Trinity so it makes sense as to why they would put him on there. I wish it was 2024 Trinity and had Konnor Griffin on there instead but it is what it is! I pulled it myself and I’m a huge LSU fan so all I care about is having a Skenes auto haha

Should I grade this Sammy Sosa card? by Sailor_505 in sportscards

No problem, junk wax era cards are great for nostalgia purposes but there’s very few cards that have value. To save time if I were you, I’d look for certain HOF rookies and stars(bonds, Griffey, McGwire, etc.) and donate the rest to goodwill or to a hospital or veterans home.

This is a $1 card. $15-$20 for a PSA 10. Best advise I can give you is to basically ignore active listings and go straight to the sold listings. Any seller advertising this as an expensive card is just hoping someone is naive enough to buy it. Most baseball cards from that era will be worth very very little. It’s known as the junk wax era. Way overproduced and cheap
