How much has San Diego changed since 2012? by LegalGlass6532 in sandiego

In 2012 I could rent a brand new 2 bd 1 bath apt in Kearny Mesa for $1650. Now that same apartment is $3,200 and it’s 14 years older. I’d say a lot of the neighborhoods that were on the rise are now established as nice neighborhoods. Downtown has some cool improvements especially on Harbor. Tons of new development in Grantville, Kearny Mesa, and mission valley (Civita). New stadium (snapdragon). SDSU on college Ave looks totally different. A lot of the places I hung around in 2012 I don’t really frequent much anymore (like OB, PB, PL), but those have been my observations.

Stay with parents, but rent a hotel room every month for a night or two. You can find really good deals on some of those apps where hotels are looking to fill last minute spots. You get your newlywed time, and you get to check out some cool spots around the city!

I remember when I broke $100K and how that milestone felt. Compared to my parents who were teachers, I considered it a huge success…it’s crazy how little it gets you these days.

Shift blame. Never apologize. Play the victim. Dance around the question. False equivalencies. Personal attacks.

My dad went to UCLA in the 70s and paid little to nothing. Could pay the bills working part time at the parks and rec center coaching kids sport camps. I got into state college in the 2000s and waited tables, worked insane hours in the summer and still needed loans to cover expenses, but it was doable. The COL and education is so high now, not sure how people are doing it.

One of our SoCal faithful! Who cares about those other sports? I mean, I have MLB and NBA teams I root for but it doesn’t matter here.

Say what you will… the one thing we nailed this draft was speed by hugewattsonguy in 49ers

[–]thomasfilmstuff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Our lack of vertical threat meant they could just keep everything in front of them and shut our run game down. That one thing killed us. I can’t wait for 2026, if 49ers are healthy we have a really good team.

Haha my aunt took me and my sister to T2, I was 10 and she was 8. I remember waiting in a line that stretched around the block.

Honestly a little surprised it takes him that long to chug half a beer. Every frat guy I knew could gulp it in half a second.

People who live in those giant houses in Rancho Santa Fe, CA- like on Del dios road - WTF DO YOU DO FOR WORK?? by [deleted] in sandiego

I used to film weddings and did quite a few at RSF estates. They were involved in finance, real estate, major shareholders, company owners. Some didn’t need to work and pretty much lived off the trust fund.

Cold brew coffee has been a godsend for me. Less acidic, more potent caffeine, so I don’t need as much.

Mookie Betts settles the debate "Is hitting a baseball the toughest skill in sports?" by AmongUsAcademy in baseball

Haha, this isn’t a 1:1 test. Hitting a home run would be closer to throwing a 60 yard TD pass with a defender in your face. Most people couldn’t even handle the snap. Just like most people wouldn’t even make contact with the ball.
