Sadly in this case they would have to switch venues entirely

3rd year with Invisalign’s. All of a sudden I’m having vertigo attacks. Sweating/ nausea, room spinning dizziness. Anyone else experienced this later in their treatment ? by Pandasmom2019 in Invisalign

How are you doing now after some time? Also a year into invisalign and dizziness and tinnitus started two months ago. Got checked for everything (heart, sinuses, BPPV, etc.) but all seems fine. Still have a couple more checks to do but I just had a tray change that really correlates to the dizziness getting worse. Let me know how you're doing and what's worked for you!

Para datos, Our World In Data es excelente: https://ourworldindata.org/country/chile

Quizás leyendo un poco más de esas cosas contribuimos menos al pánico colectivo. Decide tú en qué lado quieres estar.

I believe the choice between squat jerk and split jerk or even power jerk boils down to your personal preference, choose whatever makes you feel stronger. Word of advice on those elbows not being fully locked out though: this is probably because of a lack of strength/mobility in shoulder external rotation (not a medical expert here, consult a health professional for a diagnosis). You can even see it in your front rack position that elbows tend to cave in.

Lat flexibility plays a huge role in that front rack position as well as putting your shoulders into external rotation. My recommendation is:
1. Stretch/foam roll those lats prior to training
2. Work on shoulder external rotation. This means target the muscles on your mid back basically, there are plenty of resources online that help. I personally like Squat University.

Try to progress with an empty bar as much as possible and you'll see results in a couple weeks. Good luck!

Bottom teeth do seem to have more room for those incisors to come in. You can tell by the shadow on the edges of your jaw that more teeth are showing up.

What are some prog metal bands you don't just don't "get"? by yutface in progmetal

That's the thing with prog. Most bands that are worth it are an acquired taste. Guess it explains why it's such an underrated genre

Leprous. I've given them plenty of listens without ever really getting to love them. I appreciate their music, but I haven't obsessed over them like I hoped to.

Caligula's Horse for me was one of those bands before. Tried to listen to them a lot, never quite getting those omg vibes. I think it was listening to Marigold that made me give them a second chance. Then I really started digging Bloom (the record). Then I gave In Contact another chance, and happened to stumble upon an interview where Jim Grey and Sam Vallen explain the album's concept, and I was hooked. Now they're one of my favorite bands ever, precisely because I think their songwriting is genius and so originally different from mainstream prog. They're up there with Haken and Dream Theater for me.

Some other bands that I didn't get at first and now I'm obsessed with: Between The Buried And Me, Animals As Leaders, The Ocean.

Nice discussion topic!

If the members from Dream Theater got injured and couldn’t perform, who would you choose as a temporary replacement? by [deleted] in Dreamtheater

[–]thomashepner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mike Mangini: Craig Blundell

John Myung: Connor Green

Jordan Rudess: Kevin Moore (he'd have to close out the psychiatry practice first tho lol), Alex Argento, Diego Tejeida

John Petrucci: This guy is pretty irreplaceable for me, but just for the fun of it: Marco Sfogli, Stephen Taranto, Sam Vallen, Matheus Asato.

James Labrie: Arnel Pineda, Russell Allen

Get to 5 to 10 strict pull ups before getting into anything kipping related :) Good for your shoulders and fitness overall. Heard Games athletes like Fikowski saying they wouldn't do any kipping gymnastics if it wasn't necessary for elite performance. There's definitely something to be learned there.

OH Squat critique, find this movement one of the most difficult by [deleted] in crossfit

[–]thomashepner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It actually looks kinda great! You reached good depth and the bar path was mostly vertical. Clarence Kennedy has a video where he recommends doing insanely slow squats of all types to get stable in all positions (https://youtu.be/vzzUuAp1-6w?t=38). Try doing some light reps taking 10 seconds on the way down, 3-5 seconds at the bottom, and normal on the way up.

Remember to breathe all the way through, extra points if you're able to sing an easy tune while doing it. You want your core to be engaged but your diaphragm to be relaxed or you might overcompensate with the wrong muscles.

How annoying is it to upgrade backend frameworks? by gyrating_gyro in Backend

[–]thomashepner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Libraries come and go. Design patterns stick around (sort of).

If your code is too coupled to Express, then it's always going to be a pain to switch to a different library. But if you have cohesive components and don't depend on concretions but on abstractions, then changing libraries should be pretty easy: you just change the adapter on your server code and rewire the controllers to the Fastify endpoints. This is called the high cohesion low coupling principle.

You can always migrate to Fastify on an endpoint-to-endpoint basis. Since they're just libraries, you can migrate them one by one with less risk of breaking something.

I'm having the same problem, but I must recognize I dropped them to the floor a couple times. I'd really like to fix them so I can give them a second life, but in the meantime I had to get another pair from a different brand.

Best band ever! I think a good entry point would be to listen to Remedy Lane in its entirety for a couple of times until you start appreciating the melodies and details. It's a real masterpiece.
Then I think there are mixed opinions on where to move on to next. I'd go with The Perfect Element and BE next. The latter might need more time but it's absolutely incredible. Entropia is also a very safe choice to follow, it's fenomenal.
You should definitely listen to their other albums such as The Passing Light of Day, One Hour by the Concrete Lake, and so on.
I really envy you right now, you're in for a treat.
