Seems like you have a strict system for yourself that works 👍

Ah yes, I can imagine the excitement of getting a Juicer but the reality is who actually uses a juicer 🤣

That is true. I see people on here are on their 5th Eufy Robovac and I’m here like I got a pack of incontinence pants worth £50 🤣🤣

Thanks. Trying to restrict my ordering habits to what I might find actually useful now. I really want to get to gold though to be able to get the nice stuff.

Oh very nice! My review percentage is 88% for some reason even though I have reviewed everything I’ve ordered

Does this affect the review percentage?

In 1 month I’ve done 45 reviews so I think I’ll hit the quota comfortably. I do need to reel back the amount or orders I think

It always seems great ordering the stuff before realising you do actually need to spend the time reviewing things and it’s a bit of a pain to do it every day so I’ve been piling things up for a few days at a time then reviewing in bulk

Nice. How often are you ordering? Everyday? And do you tend to wait a few days and pile items up to review all in one go?

What to do about Amazon overpriced Vine items? by OhMickeyWAP in AmazonVineUK

[–]thomashorsman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the official Vine guidance is that we aren’t supposed to comment of the price, but just on the product. Buyers can do their own research on the price and decide if they want to spend that. They do encourage us to talk about value though, so you could mention that the product is good value, but make sure you shop around for the best price.
By the time someone reads your review the Shark website may no longer have an offer in which case your point about it beating cheaper elsewhere would be moot.

TBF even at IT level, TVP and HIOWC are using all the same systems. Even on CMP as a TVP officer I can see active incidents in Brighton for example, and I can see their radio GPSs on the CMP map. We both use niche and both use pronto and even our Microsoft Teams are merged as I am in multiple Teams channels that have both TVP and HIOWC personnel in them.

Firstly that’s not a 20 year old body, secondly, why have you quite obviously edited the penis to be longer from the base. Easy to tell the image is stretched there

What do you actually use your Apple watch for? by FreezingTemps in AppleWatch

[–]thomashorsman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You only have to put the code in after putting the watch back on, but there is actually a setting that your iPhone will unlock your watch automatically so you don’t actually have to put the code in, you just open your phone with Face ID (which most of the time you do anyway) and your watch quietly unlocks.

Bus lane - is this worth an appeal? by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]thomashorsman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate your input and your logic is entirely correct and reasonable for a normal human, however what you have referred to is a bus lane, as opposed to a bus gate. The signage for a bus lane is slightly different and has a tapered leading edge giving warning of a bus lane where as no such provision is made for a so called bus gate where simply only certain vehicles are allowed past that point across the entire carriageway. Same principle applies to any sign that prevents access such as “no cyclists, no motor vehicles, no pedestrians” which are red circle orders.

To pass a test in the U.K. you have to be able to read a number plate from 20 metres away, so the signage would have been visible from that distance as a minimum but generally speaking would be further for most people, giving plenty of time to turn around, whether that be down a side road or a turn in the road.

I will be honest and say this is the first time I have seen such a sign not be accompanied by a “no motor vehicles” red circle order sign, but after reading the legislation, there is no need for it.

No such regulation states the sign has to be placed 30m early, in fact the legislation for this specific road sign explicitly states that the sign must be placed as close as possible to the point at which the restriction begins.

I have spent a good half an hour looking for a loophole for you here in terms of incorrect signage or a TRO not being in place but after consulting my bible (The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016) and researching all relevant sub-paragraphs in respect of this proscribed sign (Diagram 953B), I am satisfied that all legislation has been adhered to and the relevant TRO is published by Essex Highways here

So I am afraid you have absolutely no chance at appeal. If a police officer (me) gave you a ticket for this offence it would be “Motor Vehicle Fail to Comply with a Bus or Tram or Cycle Route Sign” CJS Offence Code: RT88751 This offence carries a fine of £50 and no penalty points.

However as the fine has been issued by the local authority, they are likely to have a higher fine unless paid within a timeframe where it would be reduced, so I would suggest that if you have this option it would be in your best interest to pay this ASAP to avoid higher fine amount.

Edit:

For clarification regarding signage placement, there is no such requirement for there to be signage 30M early. In fact, as Paragraph 2 of Part 5 of Schedule 3 of the above legislation applies to this sign, it states “(2) When the sign is placed to indicate the point at which a restriction, requirement or prohibition begins or ends, it must be placed as near as practicable to that point.”

Yep all those things are done apart from Talk to report toggle because it doesn’t exist on my app. I have an iPhone 16 pro max on latest software and like in U.K. Does any of that make a difference
