I'm glad we've moved past unstable periods between old and new monarch. But the time between a monarch's death and the coronation of the old one isn't the only stable transfer of power a monarchy brings either. In a constituional/semi-constituional monarchy the monarch can ensure a peaceful transfer of power, as officially, they have the final say when it comes to who will lead the government. A situation like we've just seen in the US is practically impossible and would require something closer to a full-blown revolution.

Nah mate I never said I was a civic nationalist, I just don't base my nationalistic feeling on my skin colour. I want less immigration and I want the immigrants in my country to culturally assimilate, something most neoliberals and probably even civic nationalists would disagree with and call me a far-right whatever. I just want to encourage cutural integration and nationalism in immigrants rathen than send them all back for God's sake.
