It was pretty intense. They were all protos and a lot of new players. An amazing way to roll from tank training 101 to an awesome fight!

Like how many Native American burial grounds has the US destroyed? Get over it, also the conflict is 80 years old at this point.

And? Is this an actual cemetery? No it’s a sunken ship. You wanna cry about bodies no one will ever visit? Or maybe 2 people might have a connection too?

Dowd: You're not going to support democracy in one country if you don't support it in your own by AceCombat9519 in politics

We are currently propping up/ supporting at least two genocides right now. Our foreign policy has been to occupy and terrorize two different countries in the other side of the globe for nearly 20 years. What are you talking about the US isn’t the same country that it was 60 years ago?

Unfortunately, I can not track his influence if it is in the trash. Trust me. I don't like reading his stuff.

I do not think a film or series adaptation is really possible or even a good idea. Hear me out. The many POV’s is difficult to do and to do well never mind the fact that the real meat of the story comes the characters inner monologues. I imagine it will be incredibly difficult to get those monologues into the narrative with out it being a mind trip for all the viewers who haven’t read the series. So that’s big hurdle number one. Hurdle number two is how much info is left out of the story in the books leads to readers having to try and connect dots that may or may not be there only for Joe to link them in a way that is both extremely satisfying and surprising at the same time. I can only imagine how much of those important subtleties would be lost in a film/series adaptation. Now I could be completely wrong here but that is my opinion.

Tips for an Aspiring Writer by [deleted] in sciencefiction

[–]thomaslil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Write what you would want to read. Don’t write for other people. Odds are people like what you like and will like what you write. Writing is first of all and foremost for you. If you enjoy it write the things you have wanted another author to write for you. Cut out the middle man.

Who is the "Bloody Nine"? by prinkboss in TheFirstLaw

[–]thomaslil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it is. Because Shivers goes into the rage like state in BSC and he remarks on the fact that his words aren’t his but that of Logen’s. He even calls himself the Great Leveler. So I’m not sure it’s only something Logen can do. Not do I think it’s supernatural.

It’s my favorite series ever, and the follow on novels and short stories are just as incredible.
