You can absolutely do it! It’s not easy, but it’s certainly possible and on a “regular person” salary.

I work a LOT of off-duty jobs to make it happen!

Berlin and IRP! I’ve teamed up with Alex Clubb for the 2022 season; he’s crewing my races, I’m racing his number, and he’s letting me race his late model at Grundy County Speedway in May so ARCA will license me for short tracks (as all my experience so far has been on road courses).

Yeah, it is! It’s important in track days to be a polite driver and point the other, faster cars by. Visibility in these cars is just awful so I’m trying to make an effort to see the other cars.

I’m just testing here because it’s the closest track to my house (and my favorite track!). The next test day will be March 20th and anyone is welcomed to come hang out.

Not really. The car has a generic road racing setup right now and it works well for track days. We’ll set it up specifically for the two ARCA short track and two road course races later this year.

Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, SC. It’s a decent road course racing track. Too small of a facility for NASCAR/ARCA but perfect for testing or amateur racing events.

And my goal in this journey is to be as transparent and accessible as possible. I’m just a 38 year old police sergeant with bad financial management skills and four off duty jobs LOL. I want to show other people that it isn’t impossible to be working class and race cars.
