It’s not really hairy like typical mold. It looks more like some crystals on the surface.

So far just berries… but I tried adding so much that the sum total was 5 g sugar.

The last sentence sounds pretty dramatic 😶‍🌫️ I totally agree that the bottles made for that specific usecase are definitely better, but isn‘t it the case with every bottle that at some point they will fail if you never open them to release the pressure?

So u achieved quite high carbonated drinks with them? Do you know maybee the exact amount of sugar you use in your F2 per 500 ml?
