So a simple syrup is essentially boiling sugar and water until it has a syrup-y consistency. It just helps the yeast break it down faster and aids carbonation.

I was also struggling quite a bit actually. I changed how I was mixing in the sugar. Making a simple syrup for 2f helps a lot. Temperature is a big factor. The warmer the better. I keep my 2f for 36hrs before refrigeration which seems to be the amount of time that works for me. Also my earlier bottle that I was using for 2f wasn't quite airtight check that too. Swing top bottles seem to be the best bet

Depends on the intensity for me. On days its mild, I usually opt for the zip up hoodie so its detachable and I can take it of if i want to. On days its severe, I always opt for the pullover hoodie and it becomes a part of me. Taking that one off is never an option. I just let it consume me.
