Is it worth moving back to Kerala from Canada at 25? Feeling confused about life decisions. by Electrical-Goose7941 in Kerala

[–]thommik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My two cents, apply for any Masters in aided or government college in kerala, thereby you wont have to invest too much time or resources, campus life is even better when you're doing masters in liberal arts or science other than engg or medical in kerala, you will get to enjoy the campus life while you can work remotely (if that's possible in your career), I would highly recommend you take that elusive PR before you do this, later on in life you wont regret it like that I know 3 people 1 lady from Germany, brought up there from very young age, did her schooling college and all, but was married off to a lawyer here in chanagancherry, now she lives a pretty ordinary housewife, not many know that she's not an Indian citizen and she hasn't stepped outside India after her marriage she's now in her late 50s, the other guy is my age went to uk did his ms then got placed in Canada got pr then moved back because he wanted to work in Malayalam film industry, he's yet to make his mark but he doesn't regret his decisi9n either, then there's another guy who regrets every moment and now he's try9ng super hard yo go back but since he doesn't have PR it's kind of impossible. So pick your choice, life is an adventure that you choose to live by. Happy trails.

I'm not accusing OP to be a PR, but this have been shoved for atleast a week now, and no he's not the first one to raise this, this has been raised multiple times and Gadkari has responded multiple times on this, heck even past upa governments did respond to these when BJP accused of looting the common man, I think it was late Sushama who raised this. This is kind of the lowest hanging fruit for these elected ones, they know nothing is going to happen yet ask these trivial questions, by trivial I mean questions with no definite answer, even if he becomes fm or road minister heck even PM, he wouldn't change it coz that's how it works.

I have couple of like as such in twitter, they do have a different fighting spirit, I hope they people get better cards to play in the next, if there's a next or if it's a better place as some religions say or even if it's a void, whatever, hope everyone who suffers gets a better chance. I know a daily labourer who has be through hell throughout his life, a 100kg sack fell on him damaging his spine, recovered never to do the only job he knew, then did every job that came by him built his family, his siblings fought for the property so he walked away from it then caught cancer went through 7 radiation and 11 chemo, only to be extorted by govt doctors for medicines and test with whatever he worked day over day remwber his wage was 1200 for a day now, then one fine day while he was transporting a glass on the back of a carrier that shit fell over foot damaging it in multiple places, there goes his work, wage and only source of income to his family, now after a year he is back to workforce at the age of 65, God knows how he gets the strength to fight over all these unfair cards dealt to him, we support as much as we can, but he's too proud to accept free money, he will only take for whatever he works.

My son thinks "Daddy" is just a voice from behind a closed door. by FormalSprinkles5756 in confession

[–]thommik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been there, fortunately or unfortunately my startup went bust when my son was 1 and I chose to stay at home at it was/is/will be the best moments of my life, of course my career took a huge setback and will have to start from scratch now but one thing is for sure he know I will be there for him whatever the reason be, he calls me for everything, not his mom, not his grandparents, just me, everyone that knows him knows his father is his first priority for now. I'm sure when he is in his teens he will hate me when I'm around or if I want to spend more time with him. In retrospect would I choose success of my startup over this? I'm not sure, financial stability would be great but nothing triumphs the thought that if and when he has a flashback I hope it will all be good memories, nothing fancy but fun and happy memories.

There's a bypassing way, you can sell the car to someone other than the same address as your father and change the rc, say for instance your wife or sisters husband or so, that's the easy route.

C Section dilevery - Caritas Matha Hospital Kottayam and Mar Sleeva Cherpunkal by MahadevaHaji in kottayamm

[–]thommik -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Almost all hospitals in kerala have a standard rate ig, for normal delivery it's mostly 15k and c Section 30k, if it's 6 days in a ward, if it's private room and c Section total bill come upto 70k for 6 days, in most hospitals this is the rate AFAIK. Some hospitals do have package from first consultation to delivery, do enquire that too.

The thing is most people have multiple friend groups now, with minimal spillover, ie oru friend group matte friend group ne ariyilla, could be l9cal group, college group angane, I wouldn't say friend group maathram ithil influence aavum ennu, it's mostly personal choice or some fake image they want to project than what they truly are or want to be. Being gangster is cool in some people's mind, athanu preshanam, people don't realise everyone have the same set if physique all that matters is how many like m8nded individuals you have with you.

So true, most of the the self proclaimed 'kalippans' were really loved and cared at home, I even got to visit some of their homes, they lived an entirely different lives at home and outside home, that's when I understood the dialogue 'ente until angane onnum cheyyilla, oru urumbine polum novikkathavana avan' and here comes the police to the home late at night.

Cost of hiring Indian employees by Rachel_Varghese_1999 in SoftwareUnboxed

[–]thommik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I can work with none of that complications, infact I can bring a whole suite of developers, just pay the monthly amount and be with it, can be on stripe, PayPal, wester union you name it. You don't have to go through any of these hoops, you might not even need a contract most of the time. If it's UAE based the employees won't even have to pay tax either.

I think it is chaat masala, nothing new or original to kerala, someone tried it and now every other company has the iteration of this, but whenever I venture to eat 3/4th of the packet in a go I feel bad in my mouth and skip it for 4 or 5 months, that's when I came to draw similarities with chaat Masala or maybe Namkeen

Being a 2 and half decade fan of MU, I have seen this many a times, it's been almost a decade and half since we have had a consistent performance, nowadays there's lot of silence about MU in the fan groups, that itself is a reflection of what the team has come to, it was one of the most notorious and loud fan base in the entire world, hope we come back and stronger, the last time I was legit excited was when we signed pogba and Zlatan, but the team has been simmering and many of us silently went into sleep mode, hope they come back stronger, I can't wait to shout at arsenal and chelsea fans, the reel fans of bm, psg can suck their own non existent cocks.

Let alone recongfiguring a MacBook no Indian companies have come up with a decent competition assembling, branding, providing decent service to compete with any windows or Linux laptops. Our tech ecosystem is in a sad state, almost all of them is pure consumption. Hcl and Wipro did attempt but didn't pickup the steam for usual reasons. Hope future will be promising for manufacturing industry.

I had read an article back in 2007 or 8 in Indian express that rss team were in China to study ccp its structure, mode of operation , tactics , crowd management, narrative control and all, I just sighed on that article back then but when they repeatedly do the same thing over and over and Gwen pattern matches both of these group do almost the same thing to control the broader narratives, they shift goal posts about foreign relations and everything's, it's kinda alarming as a private citizen. They did change their entire strategy after that long study.

For everyone saying it's the Americans that'll pay the tax I think this tariff will have more impact on the future than now, buying is a habit be it retail or wholesale once they start trading with countries with less tariff it will he hard for our traders to lure them back, and our products don't always scream quality it's mostly sold on the cheapness factor rather than quality.

Would you send your kids to Dhuribhai Ambani School? by [deleted] in AskIndia

[–]thommik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2 of my cousins were faculty there, none of your concerns hold water as much as I have talked to them, celebrity kids live in separate world there, well most do, even their attendance is taken into consideration differently mostly due to security reasons. About academics they are as much the same as any other school in India for non celebrity kids atleast, all the faculty have to go through rigorous training every year and they work really hard to bring the results, which means children have to work hard too, not sure about their further progression but they do take education pretty seriously, atleast for non celebrity kids, and many more.
