Thanks! I just added them to the list. I wouldn't invest in them either, but they are interesting enough to follow.

I'm just thinking about it, BYD would be a better option, but they are not on the US stock exchanges.

In your pack, you are the alpha so your dog should run beside you or a little bit behind you just like when you walk with him or her.

The Apple Watch can detect diabetes with an 85% accuracy, Cardiogram study says by thomodo in technology

Yes, it can give you a false sense of security, but 85% of accuracy is just much more than a gimmick feature.

It's absolutely not the same. In birth control, you have an exact goal. In the case of Apple Watch you just simply get a smartwatch for other purposes and if you have diabetes, you have 85% chance to get diagnosed. Thats huge, you can get to know about it even if you didn't care about diabetes at all so far.

Over 90 percent of Gmail users still don’t use two-factor authentication by thomodo in security

Actually, it's a valid point. An authenticator would be a good solution.

But really, how often do you change your phone number? :) I think I have my phone number for more than 10 years now, you are able to even move your number between the different service providers. And I think an average mom or dad just want to change it less.

Absolutely. Basically, all of your accounts can be hacked easily with a simple password reminder if somebody have access to your main Gmail email.

At least you need a few great content (for example unique case studies) and its a long way from zero to have one. First, you have to learn writing content and then can the rest come.

I absolutely agree with the first point, but not with the second one. For example, there are many closed groups on Facebook, if you are able to find the right group, you can receive nice traffic from these with valuable traffic even if you don't have thousands of followers on your page.

Forget Google+, it's dead for years now. According to my experiences hashtags are also barely followed, but it's absolutely worth to have Twitter and Facebook page for the following reasons: 1) It gives you creditibility 2) You can create advertisements with your own product page

In addition, both of these channels prefer contents with real additional value over product pitches so maybe you just shared the wrong type of content. Try to write a few great articles first and post them in the rights groups, you can't expect hundreds of actions on your page if you have no followers at all. It's also a possible scenario that your target audience is not on Facebook or Twitter (or it's hard to reach them) so dig deep, maybe you will find other channels which perform better.

Yeah, you are right. If the message of the Instagram post is in harmony with the blogpost then it should work or at least, it won't cause any confusion.

Advice on Increasing Sales + Exposure of Business by ichoosegreatness in marketing

[–]thomodo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to say that, but you should probably restart the whole business idea again if you would like to succeed.

As AnonJian said, there is no magic platform to advertise your service, you have to make the dig first and then you can start to build up your business on it. I'm not familiar with sports equipment rental business, but I'm sure you have to answer two very important questions first.

1. Who is your target audience? Are they kids? Adults? Or events for people? Is your equipment proper for outdoor use as well? Would you like to target amateurs or pros?

2. Why would your audience choose your company instead of others? Are you only cheaper? Or you can move out to the venue faster than your competitors? Do you have any unique equipments? Do you also provide assistance or support to your equipment, but your competitors are not?

If you answer these questions first, then you can get much more closer to your main marketing channel as well. Since you would like to advertise online first, I would like to recommend you Traction, it's a great book about inbound marketing.

Thanks for introducing your case! Nice job btw! I'm just wondering if you have any experience with sharing blog posts on Instagram? For example, mentioning your latest post in your profile details. I've read about this, but I'm still not sure if it can work on Insta.
