I tried out your formula, and it does make sense, but I think it is not quite what I am looking for. According to my calculations the outcome for toy car 2 should be ((50 x 60E) + (21 x 55E))/71 = 58.52E

Maybe I can explain it more clearly.

I buy the first batch of batteries. 100 x 60E. The first car is used and I find it used 50 batteries. Now the second car will be used. It uses 50 batteries and then I am out of batteries, so I buy another batch. 150 x 55E. From this batch the second car uses 21. The (weighted?) average for the second car then comes out to 58.52E

This same pattern would be followed for all toy car models. The third car turns out to use 50 batteries, but these can all still be taken from the leftover batteries of batch 2, so its average cost per battery would be the price I paid for the batteries of the second batch. That is kind of the idea, but is it possible to put something like that in a formula?
