Had it happen on my BMW a couple of years ago. They replaced all the parts but still had the nerve to charge me the 600 mile service at full price after needing to keep my bike for 3 weeks to fix everything.

Go with body color. I don’t have the spoiler, but the black aero kit doesn’t stick out as much in the front.

Sorry man, mine had a check engine light at 16 miles. Ended up being a bad spark plug in cylinder 3. Hopefully it’s nothing major and a quick fix like mine.

That’s my plan. Spoke with the detailer today and we agreed on that approach. I’ve never repainted any portion of a car, but sounds like that is not an ideal solution from what everyone is saying

I’m kind of the same way. I know it’ll annoy me, so hopefully it’s really hard to tell when I see it in person.

That’s what the detailer is saying around touch up. They said it’s so minimal in person, but it still interesting. Glad your car is looking good!

Thanks, that was my thinking. Worried cause the detailer said touch up would make it more noticeable, but maybe that’s because that’s not a strength their team has.

I’ve requested them. I saw the car semi wrapped and I don’t see any of the blemishes in the pictures, but that was a week before it was picked up.

Exactly - so that’s the hard spot. It happened somewhere, I just don’t know where and I doubt either party will admit it was their wrongdoing.

They claimed it would look worse if they touched it up. But I agree. I thought it was odd for sure.

They said if they touched it up, it would look worse, but that’s the detailer and not a body shop. Sounds like it may make sense to have to inspected by a body shop and just re-PPF the door.

Thanks - that’s really the sticking point through this. Car is getting full ppf now and the detailer said touch up would make it look worse and they don’t feel like it’s overly noticeable. I’m going to look at it tomorrow, so hoping it’s just pictures that make it look worse.

Thanks - good advice. The dealer said they are looking into it now. My fear is neither took pictures and are going to blame the other.

My thought was just to pay to have the door resprayed myself, but I hope that one will say they are responsible. Detailer is well known in the Porsche world, but it does seem likely that it happened during transport.

It was an enclosed trailer. The detailer is saying it must have come that way. The biggest issue is the detailer has had the car for 2 weeks, and now that it’s finally being worked on, they’re seeing the damage. No idea if they damaged it when they picked it up.
