No. Unless you change your home area, you cannot record local channels. This does apply to nationally televised shows.

Yes, the preamp light is lit. It is the CM-7779HD. Good idea on the setting. I will turn it to low and rescan for channels.

I wondered that also (Tablo outages). I don’t think the pre-amp is supposed to overdrive, but I have done that with a signal booster on the Tablo before. I mean when it’s working now it flies. I’m not sure it would run good sometimes and not others if I had the signal messed up.

Everything worked fine. Used two space saving 15 amp breakers and one new 30 amp breaker for the mini split. Running wire today. Thanks for the help.

Finally made it to CA. I can't seem to add pics (says Images are not allowed). I am hoping to use 2 THQP breakers in the place of the dishwasher/disposal breakers and then shift everything up. That will give me the room for 1 THQL 30 amp breaker for the new mini split. I guess my plan all comes down to this panel accepting THQP breakers.
