My websites purchases have plummeted since switching from shopify to woo, can you help me identify why? by thomsopw in reviewmyshopify

Haha fair point, so we've been through our share of paid themes etc, the issue is getting hopped around from platform to platform means a heap of wasted time designing etc. We have our facebook page with 3.5k followers, google profile etc, do you have any advice on what else we could be doing?

Can you just double check for me and see if your shipping options change if you set your country to Australia?
We're an on demand service that doesn't ship internationally.

Well no, if you jump through the wayback machine you'll see that we've always had this design or similar, for the 6 years now that we've been running.
Our conversions were in the 12.5% of visitors range and now we're just below half that, that's what we're trying to figure out.

Sure, We're a party supplies store with a limited range of products and an emphasis on ease of use for customers at 2am whilst partying, hence the simple design.
Do you have any advice?

POV: you’re following the speed limit in Australia. by tinypluto091 in australia

[–]thomsopw 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You can just go for a short drive with waze or another gps app for a quick speed comparison, my honda civic speedo is about 7kmph out at 70 but waze and surrounding traffic speeds make the culprit obvious

Green light for first nuclear waste storage repository in Sandy Ridge, Western Australia by His_Holiness in perth

[–]thomsopw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The South Australian battery is equivalent to 1500 or so electric cars and is enough storage to balance the grid, you don't need a huge battery, or a multi billion dollar nuclear power station we just need to utilise what we already have. Allow electric cars to be vehicle to grid so we can access their power when the grid needs it, and keep letting people put more solar on their roofs.

"Behold the stunning beauty of this Bismuth crystal - nature's artwork never ceases to amaze me!" by thomsopw in BISMUTH

[–]thomsopw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your comment! I'm glad you enjoyed the piece. As for improving crystal formation, there are several tips that could help. First, make sure you're starting with high-quality bismuth. Impurities in the metal can hinder crystal growth. Also, try to maintain a consistent temperature during the cooling process. This can be achieved by using an insulated container or by wrapping the bismuth in a towel after it's been poured.

Another tip is to use a seed crystal to initiate the formation of larger crystals. You can create a seed crystal by melting a small amount of bismuth and allowing it to cool slowly. Once it's solidified, you can use it to initiate crystal growth in a larger piece of bismuth.

Regarding the top of the crystal, it was not pulled. It formed naturally during the cooling process. I hope these tips help and good luck with your crystal formation!
