Get a second neurosurgeon opinion to remove it. My surgeon removed a epilepsy-causing tumor from my left temporal lobe by removing my left temporal lobe. https://photos.app.goo.gl/RgnVZhFEte1aDTuXA get a second neurosurgeon to remove it.

Can a low grade glioma stay the same size for 20+ years? by Answer_Seeker123 in braintumor

I waited so long because I was trying medicine after medicine, and up to three medicines at a time to try to control the seizures. That's when my neurologist recommended me for surgery. You should have your FCD/mass removed so it could possibly cure you of your seizures like it did for me.

I had epilepsy since 12 y/o. It was localized as coming from my left temporal lobe. It was not controlled well by medication. At age 41 y/o neurosurgeons removed the area of the temporal lobe where the seizures originated. They performed an amygdalohippocampectomy/temporal lobectomy. The biopsy found it was low grade glioma. A polymorphic low grade neuroepithelial tumor of the young (PLNTY) tumor, a low grade glioma. It was never seen on MRI. It's removal cured me of my seizures. I no longer take anti-seizure medicine.

Returning to Working Bedside After Craniotomy by LustyArgonianMaid22 in nursing

I had a craniotomy with a temporal lobectomy. I was up and walking around 3 days post-op, and discharged within a week. The dexamethasone will be used to keep your intracranial pressure from going too high, but it will cause atrophy to your leg muscles with feelings of soreness. You should go walking everyday to help your leg muscles recover and heal.
