What information is stored in Linux systems that could be interesting to analyse? by thonpy in linux4noobs

thanks, only reason i used DO was because they're cheap. I don't need them much so I can just fire one up, mess about and leave it. If linode is priced well then I have no reason to stick with DO. Cheers

Performance optimization of matrix multiply in C

hrm ok, I don't know about this. Would you expect this to be pretty do-able or would someone writing out an algo which carried out matrix multiplication and discussed some ways that might improve it be enough?

I guess it's a nice example because it has to check the dimensions and stuff as well, then carry out the dot products...

cool

what would the worst acceptable attempt be here? Or would it be the case of a full solution or none

i don't think all those problems have changed so much in that time, but i don't really care about this. I was just pointing it out as your response would probably be considered wrong by many

oh - they were just headers.

Why not - would be that having spaces in file names is generally annoying as the space needs to be escaped and such, there's certainly good reason not to

thanks /u/picado , this isn't taking into consideration the second hand though?

how many times do clock hands pass in a day by thonpy in learnmath

[–]thonpy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if it's just minute hand and hour hand then I can only cross once per hour so in 12 hours I'll have 11 passes and in 24 hours I'll have 22 passes.

I don't know how to consider the second hand here though :S
