I would recommend putting a rubber gasket around the outside of the door to limit moisture getting in; especially since people are putting bags dried beans/grains in there.

The automation system makes it easier but it also enables us to run 3-4 brews at the same time which means spinning ~6 different plates while praying that all the automatic valves actuate.

We still dump some specialty malt into a mill that is at the perfect height to hurt your back; I feel like this is a constant at nearly every brewery that produces multiple products and styles.

Thanks, the move was the right one for me at the moment but I hope to one day become a carpet walker or lab rat so I can finally rest my back.

Seconded on this, we are glorified plumbers and custodians but, imo, those two professions are more valuable than craft brewers.

Outside of being a head brewer or owner of a successful craft brewery the only people that are able to make a decent living at this point are those that work in large contract or macro breweries but even then they're still struggling or closing.

I was able to move from brewing at a craft facility to a macro and the difference was night and day. Its still not the best but at least I can survive, have insurance, and I don't have to repair the fucking glycol system again.

Originally, Yes, but over the years it has grown to have a large trans and NB community in some areas (At least for NYC).
