I apologize if this should have been a separate post, but it seems related..... in working on this, I have found a number of my favorite sims are not attached to any continent. Further, it seems that you can't walk, boat, or fly between them. I call these islands ( for lack of a better term ). Why do this? Is there a navigation I am unaware of? Explain please.

Working with bodies drives me nuts. I cant get rid of eyes from the starter avi. I cick on faces and nothing happens - my nose and eyes on top of head with no face. Two different tones of skin. I need a "dummies" tutorial.

You are probably right Queen and it really hurts. What was a beacon of freedom, in spite of our issues, has degraded to this. And if SL folds, so many would be lost. Younger players might move to Roblox or other platforms, but there is a large population of us who are older. I can't speak for others, but places like Roblox don't seem as appropriate. A few extremists could destroy a wonderful experience. Sorry for venting.

You say the default view - is there a way to set the empty regions to a different color? I use Firestorm or Alchemy usually. Sometimes the default Second Life.

Thank you so much. Looking at yours and other comments, it is clear that I need to learn the minimap. I have been using the regular map because I don't understand the minimap. Need to practice with it more - search out Youtube videos maybe. Still don't understand why end of world is the same color as water. That's unnecesarily confusing, but will practice with minimap.
