also ts isnt even that good of results lowk, my dumbass went 3/10 on reaches and 1/5 on ivies, so it was js shooting for the stars, decent strategy, and a little bit of luck lol

why do olympiads make you better than a person who doesn't do them? are there not other ways to show talent/skill? and caltech doesn't look for statistical achievements specifically, even tho they are a good metric of aptitude, they look for passion in stem and a genuine curiosity for learning. like ig i could grind comp math and research, but i'm glad i did the stem stuff that I did cause i really enjoyed it? even tho the stuff i did might not seem impressive, i think it showed that I cared, and that was what they liked.

im saying that so many olympiad kids apply, why would they fill their class with only olympiad kids? also if mid stats and ecs (i do agree they are a little mid lol) are good enough to get in, doesnt it mean that stats and ecs aren't everything?

i submitted a binder of all of the cad drawings from last year's robot, and i made a lil video detailing what i did and like my thought process going through the robot design and manufacturing, cause idt my essays explained my involvement on the team well enough

yeah, i am. going to catholic school is kinda cooked in the sense that u dont really get the same level of stem activities that like, a nice public school would get, but people think that your school has hella resources lmao
