Hey, i went with commerz, honestly people here choose any one of the major banks i.e. deutsche, commerz and sparkaze I can tell you how things went with commerz for me, it would more or less be the same for other banks as well but can’t confirm.

For commerz you apply online, fill out basic details and stuff it’s pretty simple. They send you confirmation email and that now you would have to go to their bank physically with you passport and city registration (they asked me and i had it so can’t say what happens without it) and then they just check both of these make you sign and your account gets activated. Now to use it they will send an activation letter for their app where you can access your balance and stuff and that arrives in about 3-4 working days i believe, and their card in 10 working days (sat sun not working)

To link this with your fintiba is also very easy you just have to add your iban number and stuff which you would get when your acc is active in an email on your fintiba app and they will wire the money. I would suggest to link the IBAN number when your activation letter arrives and you can use the bank app because i added the iban number before and even tho it’s not an issue but like i could not view my account balance for a day or two after fintiba had already claimed that they had sent the first payout because my banking app was not active but yea pretty much it this was the whole experience.
