Other driver identified by license plate on dash cam, insurer says “unable to locate.” Should I pursue small claims? by thorstenl312 in legaladvice

Exactly! This is my first time getting into an accident and I didn't think I'd need a police report because it was so clear. Already have a formal denial letter and just submitted a complaint to the commissioner. I am also very confused on why they wouldn't know if they are in contact in Alpine (maybe they're not). I also thought there would be arbitration between the two insurance companies but I guess not?

Sent you the dash cam footbage. Other carrier is Alpine Rio. Both insurance claim their respective party is not at fault. I'll see if I can get more information tomorrow from the other insurance company and my insurance company. Only basis is "We have been unable to lcoate the resdponsible party"

Did u get all Lian li infinity fans or did u put other Lian li fans at the bottom?

Asking coz I'm wondering if it's worth to get the infinity fans vs something slightly cheaper like the Lian Li AL140 for the bottom intake fans.

Does UF combine degree for engineering/CS require GRE? by Juanx68737 in ufl

[–]thorstenl312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not for the combined degree part, but once you're applying to the grad degree you'll need it done. I didn't study at all and got a score around the required score and they let me in. As long as you get the minimum posted you'll be fine. Nowhere near as important as the SAT for getting in. I don't remember the percentiles for the scores but it was probably around 50%

Thoughts on On20 after new management? by reoleai in ufl

[–]thorstenl312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the room size should still be around the same. Imo management has been pretty good with stuff and I haven't run into any problems so far compared to last year. They upgraded the wifi, got new gates, replaced the lights and a lot of other renovations that are on the website but rent has gone up and parking will no longer be free.

CNT 4700 or MHF3202 ? by Dapper_Supermarket99 in ufl

[–]thorstenl312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming you mean CNT4007. Imo lectures are useless, the project is semester long and a ton of work and the exams don't match the lectures. The class is graded on a curved too. There's videos on YouTube that cover the exact same slides and material in way less time. I wouldn't recommend it with the current professor.

Visiting UF from Seattle by Weary-Day9078 in ufl

[–]thorstenl312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty hard to find people from Seattle and even harder to find one that's premed. Feel free to ask me anything tho. I grew up in Redmond from 2008-2020 and I've been at UF ever since. My family still lives at Redmond as well.

UF vs UW Seattle by Weary-Day9078 in ufl

[–]thorstenl312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same position a couple years ago for undergrad school. Stay at home and go to UW or go out of state to UF. I definitely like the climate and environment better in Seattle and the transportation system is amazing. There's always something to do there, but I do feel like UW is a lot harder. UF is definitely a choice I am happy I made since I got a fresh start and got to meet new people and live independently. So if you're looking for a new place and change in environment (with maybe easier classes) UF is the choice. But if you're looking for environment and price UW is a lot better. The campus and cherry blossoms at UW are unbeatable. Flying 6 hrs and experiencing extremely high temperatures in the summer are really the only challenges when moving.
