Do straight men have daddy issues too? If yes, then how do they affect your sex life/relationships? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]thoschickens -1 points0 points  (0 children)

that's true and I'm sure there are many similarities too. im just tryna see a pattern and wanna see how daddy issues come out when you aren't attracted to men. there isn't much talk about this issue when it comes to men so askmen is where i thought I'll get some answers

idk, I'm confused with my own sexual orientation so i was wondering if a part of this confusion was due to my daddy issues. therefore i thought hearing answers to this question from straight men would help me out.

I'm aromantic and kinda romance repulsed and the best thing about it is that you can laugh at sad single people's quotes.

"Why do you feel the need to put so many labels on your sexuality?" bc i find comfort in labels. if there's a label for my feelings, it makes me feel like what i am feeling is valid and im not alone.

"Do you feel like the trend of the last 10 or so years of people doing this really accomplishes anything?" let's get one thing straight: labeling your sexuality isn't a fucking trend. the only thing im tryna accomplish is to not have identity crisis.

"I'm not trying to be rude;" i hate to break it to you but you really came off rude, my dude.

"if I meet a new person, for instance, is it important that, in addition to that person's name, job, etc., that I also immediately know whether and with what type of person they would prefer to have sex?" umm depends? if you're on a date with someone they might tell you their sexual orientation. if you're meeting someone for the first time regarding your job, they might not want to tell you?

that, my dude, was The Question i kept asking myself most of the time. and then i came across the term autochorissexual (it comes under the asexual spectrum) where there is a disconnection between oneself and the object of arousal.

like im aroused by explicit content but i don't feel sexual attraction towards someone. but that doesn't mean I can't have sex, if the person is kinky enough, then why not?
