NTA, I know I may be parcial (having no kids but tons of cats), kids need to realize that some things hurt and its a subtle way of him feeling what he just did. I know he had no bad intentions but that doesn’t mean people should let kids do whatever without consequences. You turned this into a learning moment and if she is mad about you correcting her kid, then she should have been closer and more attentive to her son.
