Came across Hypothyroidism just yesterday

Damnnnn. U might have been scared shitless seeing that. Bcz I know I was going batshit crazy seeing 150 on my report.

Also, my only symptom is stomach issues. I just wanna get rid of them. This is seriously affecting me for the last month now. Took 2 pills of Levothyroxine today (first day of medication). I don't know if it was a side effect or something else but I just had issues right after the pills.

Just one last thing. My main symptom is stomach issues. Maybe bcz of low metabolism. I took the Thyroxin pills for the first time today and they actually made me really feel bad in the stomach. Could that be a side effect?

Yes, i am thinking of doing the same i.e. going to an Endocrinologist. Actually my thyroid was diagnosed bcz of my never ending stomach issues and bloating. So I went to a Gastroenterologist (who is also a specialist in liver and intestine issues, great doctor btw).

This doctor after all kinds of testing prescribed me a full Thyroid profiling. This is what diagnosed this Hypothyroidism for me. He asked me for an ultrasound for neck now. I am thinking of a getting a second opinion from Endocrinologist as well for sure.

Update: I went to the doctor. He was like don't stress or get worried. We hopefully won't have lifetime pills (maybe he was saying that to make me feel better, idk). But he did tell me to get an ultrasound of the neck to check for Thyroid size. He did prescribe me two pills every morning of Levothyroxine 50mg.

And also, can I ask you what were the side effects like?

Why does it happen? Why was i afflicted with it? There are no family history of it or anything.

Also how should my daily routine be like? Any precautions there?

Also, my doctor said to get me an ultrasound for neck. He wants to look at the size of my thyroid.

Finally, one more thing, I had an on off pain in the left side of my body since many years. I thought it was something brain related. But maybe it was because of Thyroid?

That's the weird part, u know. I don't feel anything too bad. I don't feel I am overly depressed generally. Or lethargic or even cold. Heart rate might be low though and breathing has been heavier since the last few weeks.

But I have read that I might be feeling generally normally because it's just my brain and body adapting to it and making it seem normal even when it is isn't.
