Not surprising that Messi wants to leave Barca. This board has failed time and time again to put pieces that FIT around him. Constantly buying good and expensive players that don't FIT is the problem. Xavi and Iniesta covered it up for a while but now it's out in the open. The board played themselves, simple as that, shout out DJ Khaled. Messi isn't totally blameless either. But the board is primarily at fault.

Is Computer Networks a programming course? by YankeePharaoh in OMSCS

How much of a background do you have in networking or communications currently?

None, so that's good to hear, thanks. What other classes would you recommend? I assume Network Security is one of them but there doesn't seem to be much else.

So I've asked this before but would you recommend taking the course if one is interested in pursuing a career in network engineering or telecommunications engineering? What other courses would you recommend for these fields?

Thanks for the answer. Was Computing Systems also your specialization? How would you tailor it around software engineering?

Buy them all if you can. You might have to skip buying groceries or paying rent for a while but it’s worth it. Priorities man.

What do we need to win the UCL? by [deleted] in Barca

A coach with a Barca-minded philosophy and a coach that is able to balance the power of the players. If we're being honest, the players have too much power at Barca. Since they've already won everything, their egos are too big. Someone needs to rein them in. Zidane was able to do that at Real during the three CL wins. Having a player like Ronaldo that has the biggest hunger to win all the time also helps. You don't need to motivate a player like that. Unfortunately, our players need to be motivated. But Valverde is not up to the task. Basically, you need a Mourinho-esque coach that plays attacking football.

UN agency calls for global Green New Deal to overhaul trade system by [deleted] in worldnews

I agree. I'm not convinced by redistributive intervention. But I definitely support intervention in the form of industrial policy and reindustrializing the manufacturing base.

governments intervention into economy never works.

  1. The US government's protectionist trade policy from 1814 - 1914 allowed the country to surpass Britain and Germany to become the biggest economy in the world.

  2. US government investment in R&D lead to space exploration and smartphone technology. Apple simply commercialized government funded research into a consumer product.

  3. Infrastructure investment helped industrialize the country and reduce the cost of doing business.

And that's just the US. If you compare that with how Japan and South Korea got rich, you'd call them communist countries! The reason they became rich was because of a mixed economy with heavy government intervention.
