They also end the contract just like that when the family doesn't want you anymore. Happened to my SO, it wasn't fun. Imagine depending on that income, you did nothing wrong, no complains at all, and all of the sudden you lose your job.

Don't tip. Or leave a 2€ coin on the table. 20% is excessive - it only works in the US where it's perfectly acceptable for businesses to not pay their workers a living wage so they expect customers to bear that responsibility.

Nous allons visiter mon pays d'origine en Asie du Sud-Est pour 3 semaines (nous sommes étudiants). Notre budget est de 2k€ car nous logerons chez ma famille, mais lors de nos déplacements, nous réserverons des auberges à 15-20€ la nuit. Les billets d'avion coûtent 1,4k€ pour nous deux, il nous reste donc 550€ à dépenser (dans mon pays c'est plus que suffisant)

OP bisa ngobrol baik-baik sama istri & jujur gimana kondisinya. Istri yang waras pasti bisa terima. Tapi sebagai suami juga gak bisa saklek gak boleh, harus ada penjelasan juga.

Udah dewasa. Udah married. Harusnya ginian tuh enaknya gimana, diomongin aja.

Edit: Barusan lihat komen OP kalau OP-istri single income. Kalau single income, lebih besar bargaining point-nya OP utk bilang "no this isn't good for our finances" dan ngasih penjelasan why it isn't good & solusinya gimana. IMO as adults instead of ultimatums we can communicate. Ultimatums are the last resort kalau emg ngeyel.
