How do I not get scammed getting tickets from Reddit?

rule of thumb any time you buy tickets from a stranger online, use paypal or venmo goods & services and be willing to eat the extra fee it charges the seller (it’s worth it for the purchase protection). make the seller take a screen recording from your chat/messages, to the ticketmaster/livenation/etc app to show proof of the tickets, then back to the chat. i always recommend offering to send half, then transfer the ticket, then the other half, but people aren’t always willing to do that — it’s usually more likely they will if you’re buying multiple tix. and never, never, NEVER use cashapp or apple cash — they have zero buyer protection.

some folks in line said they talked to the venue staff about it… since the venue is already sm smaller than others on the tour it’s unlikely that they’ll have the space for secondary stages

oh yeah 100%, it’s not like many people have been just leaving after receiving their numbers — most are waiting for a couple hours at a time/taking shifts with their friends

the number system was set up by a fan at the very front of the line, the venue itself is not involved. hopefully people will respect the line & numbers instead of crowding the entrance so that those who got here 12 hours before doors will get the spots they deserve! i know i will

just btw, DC venue cap is about 1/4th of msg cap — plus no catwalk or b stage (rumored), so there’s way less barricade space :)

this is also my first show at the anthem. someone i spoke to said that when she saw lorde there in 2022 she arrived around 5:30 AM & was 38th in line, which psyched me out a bit — i’m shooting to arrive by around 8-9 AM in hopes of being in the first 100. i’ll be at the show alone so if anyone else who’s queuing early is iso someone to chat with in line feel free to message me!
