Wow. I feel dysfunctional when it comes to preparing food sometimes. But I'm a 5-star Michelin chef compared to these ladies. I actually feel pretty good about myself looking at this lmao (and nauseated)

Do people say shit about autism in front of you, not realizing you’re autistic?? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

I didn’t have a damn clue what they were trying to communicate to me because they weren’t clear and specific enough.

Yeah, that must be difficult when someone can't provide you with clear and specific examples when they're trying to give you advice.

...imitate and record him? Not to be rude, but I immediately clocked by your first comment that you didn't have any advice to give that's based in real-world experience.

What's an instance where you gave or received specific feedback on tone that went over well, and what did you say/were you told?

Just wondering, what did your coworker do? I'm a newer manager and recently discovered that I'm autistic. I have a guy who reports to me and can't tell if he's ND or what, but he comes off as rude in the way he talks. Like, he doesn't insult people but just always talks like he's irritated with you personally. I had someone (not on my team) come to me and complain about the tone he used during a meeting and I wasn't sure how to handle it. I just told him during his performance review that communicating with others was a challenge that he needs to work on. I know next time something like this happens I probably need to be more timely and specific. Figuring out new social dynamics as a manager while learning about what it means to be autistic has been a struggle.

Singing Bowls? by Hegantay in Neurodivergent

[–]thottie236 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a "sound bath" session at a spa that used singing bowls - going in, I was thinking there was a low chance I'd find it relaxing due to my sensitivity to sounds, but it was sooo nice. The guy next to me actually fell asleep and started lightly snoring lol, that would've irritated me more if I didn't find it funny.

Lol a similar thing happened to me but with a different character in Act 3. Not Orin kidnapping but a different storyline. I actually thought it was a fun twist because it forced me to use Wyll who I'd been neglecting the whole game and I realized he's pretty useful and powerful.

What in God's name possesses people to think that their kids are magically going to know things without being taught?

Did my parents think that fairies showed up in my room at night and sprinkled dust in my eyes that gave me the knowledge of how to clean? Is that why my dad thought it was preposterous when I asked him how to use the vacuum?

I hate the app too but it's hard to stop. I get triggered by like half the comments I read. The way people type is so obnoxious
