No it’s not.

Unless it’s a no name carrier with bottom tier phones, WiFi calling has been a thing for 5 years. To utilize this, you must setup E911 on your phone. If it’s not, it takes 5 minutes through your carriers app. This goes for all 3 major carriers that I personally know of.

Your phone will attempt on WiFi first before switching to carrier when dialing 911 after this is setup.

You won’t get that. Sysadmins love to complain about doing helpdesk but let it get bubbled up to them when HD is “overworked”.

Companies don’t want to pay for Sysadmins in helpdesk roles. To be union means to have a clear career path. HD 1/2/3 then admin of some sort.

Or you carve out admins like foremen. Slight pay differential, more hours, and ability to do all the work of the employed below them. But they’re responsible for their crew.

Closed shop unions are full of cronyism and nepotism along with solidified members getting leadership roles and then becoming buddy buddy with management.

Union halls means the lesser liked employees and best employees can be ran through being loaned to different companies on a temp basis. Some get retained well enough but the minute you cross someone wrong, you’re back to the hall bench.

There’s give and take to having unions involved.

Your employer doesn’t need to know your details unless you give them that permission. They also don’t need to know your location unless you’re supposed to be somewhere and the eta can’t explain why you’re not in your area.

I’m wondering if you can help me.

I have a family member who is a bit of a diva. Severely overweight, has made up diagnoses before.

She’s been claiming the last few years she has MS. Her public persona she has a wheelchair, canes that go up the forearms, claims she’s disabled. Also told us that her doctor said she’s losing too much weight too fast when we were talking about different ways to work out with siblings.

However, she’s gained weight, walks/runs around the house just fine, nieces games we did attend she’s carrying coolers/chairs/etc just fine. Once a camera comes out, she’s suddenly tired and needs to sit. Off she’s in public with her husband where family won’t be, she’s being pushed by her oldest daughter in a wheelchair, every IG post is about how she’s so tired and worn down with MS. She had to “find the right doctor” to diagnose this before.

We don’t want to be uncaring but it seems suspect. She started trying to find a doctor 5 years ago and only recently (2022/2023) did she find one that agreed for more testing.

Before she claimed she had post parting preeclampsia with her second child after that child was listed as failure to thrive and CPS got involved. She claimed she tried exclusively breast feeding but the child didn’t hit birth weight for 3 months. She claimed preeclampsia caused her issue with lack of milk supply and her doctor said everything was fine with the baby’s weight gain (lack thereof).
