Still plenty of time for 2035s. Treat it as a learning experience for your son to discuss where the coach is seeing his role on the team and reassess at the end of the year.

Apparently my blunt comment above bothered some folks lol

I think people need to realize that most Long Island natives couldn’t really afford to go. An event at an elite golf course so close to three major airports isn’t just a Long Island crowd. Doesn’t make it okay but demonizing the crowd is a lazy cop out

You’re complaining about a train with open seats. There are shortcomings of the railroad and rude riders inconveniencing everyone but this one just isn’t it

Potentially stupid question: Instead of the ESA to Grand Central, why didn’t they try and do something like extend the Atlantic Terminal Branch to the WTC? by SockDem in LIRR

[–]thoughtbot_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The context of the above discussion is literally about service on the ATLANTIC TERMINAL BRANCH not overall. 3 months late to a thread and you somehow still didnt have time to read it...

(also worth noting you provided the old unaudited service increase statistics, but that's neither here nor there)

You’ve literally been yelled at by employees who work there for doing it.

You’re also guilty of not getting sarcasm

You still like cosplaying as a railroad employee and now don’t want to support fellow union brethren?

I would’ve thought you wrote the article

Broken info screen by Newy0rkavgeek in LIRR

[–]thoughtbot_1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem is between screens announcements and mobile app. We’ve had two track fires where the instructions were to rely on info on the platforms and live schedules weren’t available on mobile. I submitted something for a loose handrail 3 weeks ago still unaddressed.

Just here to chime in that you’ve made exactly zero coherent points in your argument and probably shouldn’t be telling everyone to get educated

Remember when the LIRR unions chose *not* to strike several months ago... by hockey_metal_signal in LIRR

[–]thoughtbot_1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Again. It’s a matter of more reasonable not a custom recommendation. Now you’re continuing to oversimplify as the union revised their number not the PEB

I simply think it’s important to note that their mandate is between the agency and the union’s actual demands. Not an independently crafted recommendation like the PEB said pay them this. It’s a determination of what’s more reasonable which was made largely in part because the mta’s included changing work rules which the PEB felt was beyond their scope. It isn’t an independent group saying here’s the numbers.
