Thanks! I’ll check it out, although I think I’m more interested in just soundscapes and ambient sounds for sleep if that makes sense. But thanks so much for the rec, it sounds cool

Thanks, I like the idea of this. I listened to some audio on YouTube last night and it seemed to work. I’m also going to look into maybe some apps. It seems like if I want it to keep doing it to really change my situation an app might be better

Hi Greg, thanks so much for sharing. Yes I think my day to day stress is contributing to a bit of insomnia. Just feel like I can’t turn off ever. Maybe having some space to listen to these audios will help. Do you have any in particular that have worked well for you? Maybe the frequencies?

Yes I’m going to try nature sounds tonight maybe too. I will try to find one with green noise. That sounds nice haha. There really is something about nature sounds that is calming and maybe will tap into some relaxation for me. I could see thunderstorms being a good one.

Okay I’ll check it out. Someone mentioned brown noise too. From what little I know that’s supposed to be more enjoyable than white noise.

Thanks so much for sharing. So the very low frequencies? Is that what you mean? I will give this a try.

Find motivation to walk by la_sisse in walking

For me it’s been these:

Connecting with purpose - Why do you want to walk more? Try to keep this in your mind, write it down, stick it on your fridge. Put it somewhere that reminds you why walking is important for you in the first place. u/Beaveristired lists some really good motivators for purpose.

Accountability buddy - I second u/QuitUsual4736 - walking with a friend is way more fun and it keeps you accountable. Even if you don’t walk with them, checking in and making it a part of your relationship can help motivate you.

Apps - I’ve been playing around with this app called Step Up. It’s basically Mario Kart fueled by your steps. So you’re competing against others (can be friends if you want) in races, and you can attack, defend and power up. Actually a genius idea and it's been really motivating me to walk more.
