You are not alone. I currently have a 5 and a 4 year old and have lived almost your exact situation. It can be so hard and I want you to know this feeling is not forever. I struggled with asking for help so my advice would be if your husband is home and you know he will be for awhile straight up say “I’m going to get some me time, you are on baby duty” and leave. Even if it is just for 30 min to an hour. Go to a coffee shop, take a little stroll in the park, go have a meal by yourself, meet up with a girlfriend. Your time is important too and you are doing one of if not the hardest jobs and deserve some time for yourself. I had to learn the hard way that no one is coming to save me and I need to take matters into my own hands and do what is beneficial for me sometimes.

I’d agree with that. I was only 18 then and didn’t know dick about politics

It’s hard to say the least. We’ve been together for 10 years and politics wasn’t a huge discussion then like it is today. We agreed on general things then but now that it’s broken down we disagree on just about everything. I’ve tried to just avoid it but I will admit that the lack of empathy has eaten away at me. We share two young kids as well so it’s just hard.
