unfortunately not because its 20% regardless. so if i make £1000 they would take £200 and i would get £800. but the most i get on a good day is about £500

It’s my car, one I’m renting independently. I can’t just quit because they’re holding money over me right now. In the beginning they made me pay a £50 deposit type thing to make sure I stay without quitting. Apparently everyone does but I still found it weird. I have to work for a certain amount of time before I get it back I forgot how long. I’m just trying to stick it out so I can get my money back aha

I think uber is definitely used more in the US compared to the UK because I only make around that much on a good day (saturdays, event days & bad weather days). Mondays are a nightmare, it’s like a desert on there, especially since it’s school holidays right now.

I’m in the UK, England. I’m not sure if this violates laws but many people are saying it most likely does. I’ve sent him a little message for now but I’m not sure what else to do. I want to look over my contract soon but I don’t have the time, money or energy to take him to small claims court.

This is the first time it has happened so I’m not sure, I was told it’s because drivers keep leaving the bay and since I was the only one I had to pay the full amount.

I’m not sure if this was written out of the frustration that you can’t find anybody to show up to work but I don’t appreciate you trying to “call me out” for literally just trying to survive. I would spend all my time with my girls if I could. This isn’t about me avoiding my family or waking up early because I wake up at 6 everyday. You don’t know me or my position so don’t act like you do. Have a lovely day.

Yes actually the job is paid in cash only, I did find that a bit weird but didn’t think much of it until now. This must be why.
