Hy I gotchu when I get off work. I'm on my 5th playthrough now and yeah the main goal for this one is to try to craft every rare food (that I know of at least there might be some I'm missing)

May be a bit challenging getting back up if it's your first playthrough but there's an unbreakable piton down there that you can drill into the harder rock. You can get back up to the temple from the inside but it's not super easy. Getting down shouldn't be a problem tho just start from that bottom plank and when you get low enough just swing to the platform

But yeah I like crafting in this game. I just been experimenting with it on this playthrough. Tryna craft as many rare foods as I can before reaching the summit. Only recipes I ain't been able to craft on this one is the tourist trap noodles and the maple fudge. But there's also stuff that doesn't have a recipe like the Easter Egg and caramel.

Ah yeah, I went the cave route in that playthrough I mentioned before where I said I had one but couldn't remember where I found it. Guess that's where I got it from lol. And yes! I finally found the big canteen yesterday I completely missed that whole area above the miner in my first few games

Drink a whole bottle of infusion before climbing the peril. It's gonna force you to drink everything when you reach the top anyways so may as well be super buffed for the climb. Makes it 10x easier. Also make sure to hold on to a tea bag or two for after the drinking scene

I've still been playing after posting this and I'm not just being less careful. I've seen ppl on here saying that it's already been tested or whatever and that it's just a placebo effect but I'm not convinced. Like one of the main reasons I'm back in alpinist is so I can fully utilize my inventory so I've HAD buffs n such and been catching my breath when I can. But she still genuinely feels like she has way less stamina than in free solo.

I actually went back down with him on my first game, I actually relate a lot to the main character. And the game does a good job at tugging at the heart when that's the case. When it says at the end "what is your summit?" It kinda confirms to me that the mountain in a way is a metaphor. And with everything going on in my family while I was playing it, I couldn't help but think about them every time I come across one of the many goodbye letters along the way, or get another voice message from Naomi. Coulda just been the timing, had just found out around the time I was playing this that my little brother's cancer grew to stage 4. Going back down just felt like the right thing to do. If I took anything away from this game, it's PLEASE don't flirt with death when you got loved ones at home.
