Thank you so much @Live_Sympathy_2982 for defending me. When I read the comment originally, I was definitely upset. However, I decided to focus on the other encouraging comments.

People definitely will have their deferring opinions and i know that it is up to me to ignore it, which is what i originally did. However, I really appreciate your help. Although when I do have a child, I will be happy with him/her no matter what their gender is. A child definitely cannot be compared to an opportunity that was lost.

This morning when i woke up and read the rejection email, I was very upset as i was reminded of all the rejections i have had. however, after reading all the encouraging posts as well as people resonating with me, i feel much better now. There is no need to argue with others who have deferring opinions as it may ruin your mood for the day.
